Hello @mathewmoroko59, thanks for your comment! You can do it, but you will need at least tables and tables fields to do data migration. If you don't want the custom data, then delete custom tables and fields before upgrade.

Hi Saurav.Upgrade from BC14 CU12 to BC23 RTM version fails with this error. I did a force sync and data doesn't move to extension tables. Sync-NAVApp -ServerInstance bc230 -Tenant default -Name "bc14baseapptablesonly" -Version 2.0.0.0 -Mode Sync-NAVApp : Table 14 Location :: The field 'Shop' cannot be located. Removing fields is not allowed. On BC23.1 Plstform release notes, I could see data doesn't move to extension tables from BC19 to BC23 and CU is provided to fix the same. 487773 Unable to upgrade from version 19 to version 23 due to an issue related to the new Table Extension Model.

Hello @krishnachaithanya3755, thanks for your comment! You should never do a force sync. What is Shop field Id in Business central 14? Which localization you are using in BC14? If you have seen that in platform release note, then you should be doing BC 14 CU 12 to BC 23.1 or higher. Which route you are taking is it => BC 14 to BC 23 or => BC 14 to BC 19 to BC 23?

@@sauravdhyani i agree Force is not the correct option. But just wanted to give it a try. Im following bc14 cu12 GB to bc23 GB. Shop field is custom field. To upgrade to bc23.1 from bc14cu12, the compatibility matrix doesn’t support. That is where im a little doubtful if i can play with higher CU’s. On a separate point, i want to highlight that Recently MS mentioned in compatibility matrix NOTES that all versions of BC are compatible with BC24.0.

Did you watch all parts of Upgrade video Series - Upgrading Your Customized C/AL Application to Business Central 23 (Part 1, Part 2 & Part 2). You can play with higher CU. The first video should explain you that.

@@sauravdhyani Watched all the videos. Can you share here the jumps you followed like the CU's(I remember in one of the videos, you mentioned it)? The compatibility matrix video helped in confirming the higher CU's. Thanks for that. I have checked many times if I'm doing a mistake but that is not the case. May be I will give it a try with BC23.1 or higher one or BC24.0(MS mentions this in NOTE on compatibility matrix page) All version 14 updates are compatible for upgrade with Business Central 2024 release wave 1 (version 24) and later release waves.
