A nice batch of small potatoes. I tend to like small over larger. The tiny ones make for some great little seed taters.

That was a lovely little haul. I’ve just planted out 36 seed potatoes🥔, some in raised beds and some in pots. I’m in Australia 🇦🇺 so they should be ready just after Christmas. I hope mine are as successful as yours. 😊

Hi there. I had too many seed potatoes so I put them in raised beds along side the 30 litre buckets. I have to keep my Christmas ones protected from frost, otherwise they turn into mush laugh. Happy gardening 🌱😁👍

Your soil is so nice. What mix do You use please

It was a mix of bought in soil (3 for £12), old soil, blood fish and bone plus potato fertiliser. On top was Equinola bedding shavings. It helps keep the moisture in.

How many lbs/kgs do you harvest from one container average?

I haven't weighed the contents of one bucket because we are harvesting a few buckets at a time. I estimate about 3 to 4 lbs.

@@allotmentjoy im growing them for the first time this year in containers. I hope to get at least 6,5 lb per container. Its a small investment for containers and soil while clay/ground is still free..

@@allotmentjoy Off course it depends on those factors aswell. Yes 30 liter containers came out as best size option according most experiments, so im using them. On average from 1kg seedpotatos 30 to 50 kg can be harvested. I have planted Camillo and Cammeo this year bc their are very disease resistent and give a good harvest.
