Nicki is absolutely right. Umasho is Shouma backwards; it's the same wordplay thing Disrace does to the Hashiliens. It's also a pun with "Uma sho" which is something like "Tasty". So she low key calling him a snack and making fun of his reaction with snacks, while making a cute thing with his name. Yes there are plenty of female Kamen Riders. Remains to be seen if Sachiko will turn into one, but it's possible. And social criticism is fairly common in Kamen Rider, the inception of the series was anti-n4zi, anti-war discourse and "evil wins when good men make a choice not to act" and "you always have the choice to be good". We have been through racism and anti-capitalism, anti-monarchy and over all, Kamen Rider is usually very rebellious against powers that may be as in "you always question authority regardless of who the authority is"

To answer some things: - based on the way the word is written in Japanese, the term "Granute" for the monster is pronounced more like 'granite', except a long 'u' sound is used rather than a short 'i'. The name is drawb from the term "granulated sugar", which also ties to the snack motif -There are female riders in the kamen rider series. They were nonexistent in the Showa era of the series (although there was a superheroine named Tackle, though her status as a rider is still debatable); then they started making minor appearances during the Heisei era of the show; and then became more prominent and consistent in the Reiwa era

Episode 1: Rider Kick, Episode 2: Rider Slash, Episode 3: Rider Punch. So all the remaining standard issue finishers are Rider Thrust, Rider Shooting and Rider Chop…though Chop is very rare to see these days. The gummy flavors for Gavv’s Poppingummy Form pair up with the official Kamen Rider Gummi candies sold in the real world: grape, orange and cola flavored. They even used the commercial catchphrase from some infamous meme worthy commercials for the candy “Juicy!”. Female Riders and heroes have been around a bit since 1975 (Tackle is complicated), but they didn’t get prominently featured until the Reiwa Era started and the way they were treated was…not great the further back you go. Most of them existed to just die later and the few that did live in the Heisei era were background characters.

Reiwa will not have a lead female unfortunately given what Toei did during the development of Revice by vetoing the showrunners and their proposal to have Revi be female. People forget that Japan is probably one of the most patriarchal countries in the world compared to the rest of the world and social progress is glacial in certain areas. Only 10% of women are in executive positions in the country compared to the USA’s 31% (the USA is in 3rd place behind France which has almost an even split at 45%)

So to explain. The chips or extra gummy forms are not upgrades. Typically Kamen Rider seasons give the Primary rider 3 upgrades. A primary upgrade at the end of the first quarter, a mid season upgrade somewhere around episode 24-25, and finally the Final/Strongest form normally coming in at episode 30-32. The other forms riders get in the early episodes are more like style changes, i.e. giving Shouma a different battle type to best fit the situation

Like, Gaim had one female Rider, but she was a minor antagonist/lackey to bigger bads, Fourze introduced a female Rider in one of its movies, but not in the main show itself (at least her movie is canon to the show), Ex-Aid technically had two female Riders, but they were more often than not relegated to out-of-suit supporting roles, etc. The first female "Rider", "Electromagnetic Wave Human Tackle" (which was ladybug-themed) from 1975's Kamen Rider Stronger, was actually never even called a Kamen Rider in-show. So yeah, there's room for improvement in female Rider representation, and I do hope Sachika becomes a Rider this season.

What I like about this show is that you don’t really know what you what to expect. The fact that his armour is influenced by the snacks that he eats is very cool. And I agree with being careful with of you eat chips. I have stabbed myself in the gums. They probably know about his existence since they were looking for him. I think him leaving is probably because he is trying to protect them, considering his background This is what I have always liked about KR and SS which I feel is missing in PR. This is a kids show that is geared towards elementary school kids. They are not afraid to talk about topics, such as death and illness. This topic about Shouma’s lineage is an important topic because their Japanese mindset of hafus, which is what they called children who are half Japanese half foreigner. For a long time, you were only considered Japanese if you were full blooded. If you were born and bred in Japanese, but you have only one Japanese parent, you regarded as a foreigner. They only time they care about your Japanese side they is when you’re famous because Japanese people like a lot of Asians are care a lot about status.

Also shouma is probably the hidden son of the Stomach family (the dark treats creators and bad guys of the season) Late leader, his father probably fall in love with shouma's mom when he was on the human world and ended up bringing her to the Granute Dimension but keep her hidden for obvious reason. i believe they're discovered by shouma's older Siblings so they kill their father and Shouma's mom but probably don't know about Shouma's existence. Shouma's Gavv is completely different from another Granutes due him been a Hybrid and never consumed dark treats (due to his mom rule to never eat their house's treats) Oh and the twins are like Aura and Mare from overlord (the girl acts and dress like a boy, and the boy dresses up and act like a girl)
