You should declare a surprise war on a separate civ that's too far away from you to do anything in retaliation so that you can get Cyrus' buff to help you out in your war against Georgia

@theflame5919 Жыл бұрын
That is about the future, not the past. A fall of major global superpower, who is much like Babylon of old; center of global commerce, power, and every decadent idea and practice. That power, will govern most of the Earth, indirectly, will be proud, vain, and all of humanity will be astounded then they suddenly fall, as none thought it possible. That the quote in Revelation you referencing, is what it's all about. A future event, near end of history. The actual Babylon, fallen without fighting, captured at night, by a kind of special operation. The City remained the most important City in the Persian Empire, and even beyond, for over a thousand years.

I really love the slower pace you are using on civ now. The way you get to explain everything, and your thoughts behind them just helps me enjoy the game more. Helps people progress a lot and even for more experienced players, it gives you time to think about what you’d do in that scenario which is only more engaging :)

You postponed taking Ur to pillage the ziggurat, yet on the next turn you used the unit on the ziggurat to take Ur, and the ziggurat disappeared. Flawless!

I’m really enjoying this series! One of my favorite games I’ve ever played was as Portugal on TSL Earth. I built 2 cities in Iberia, conquered North Africa, settled South Africa, and built a trading empire. TSL can be super fun, you really just have to have the right start.

I have a mod downloaded called Capture Unique Improvements that I really like. It helps your conquests retain the flavour of their original civilization, though you still can't build them yourself. Got a weird interaction with claiming tribal villages with your borders, though-you need to use a unit to claim them instead.

I think it's really annoying and obnoxious that the aggressor can call a military emergency against the nation it invaded if they start losing. If anything, they shouldn't be able to do this until the Grievances start swinging the other way.

I know it's probably a bit too late even if you read this comment right as I post it, but it may be a good idea to leave Eridu alive, and peace out Gilgamesh when it's his last city remaining. That way he'll get taken out by loyalty pressure, so you avoid the global grievances that come with killing off a player.

the funniest part of the entire civ game is when an AI declares surprise war, uses its smug lines how you are a virus and the AI the cure or whatever-the-fuck. then 10 turns later the AI starts begging for peace every other turn on a "it was just a prank bro" levels.

@NickSteffen Жыл бұрын
Since they are melee units, it applies to everything they do including ranged attacks. That said they do so little damage anyways it doesn’t matter that much and they are such good regular units it’s just great that you can slam them into the city and do full damage since you have so many of them. Normally you’d have to split your unit types up a bit but the immortal replaces ranged, melee and cavalry (when you have the bonus) So you just make a mountain of them.
