26:40 I hope in Civ7 there is a bit more nuance to being a warmonger. Instead of the other AIs hating you generically, there could be some that still want to be friendly out of fear of your retaliation. Much like you're at ease when you have a declared friend, you can't be attacked by them for 30 turns. Maybe there's another diplomatic option to declare you're not going to go to war, and to break that vow could trigger a larger emergency, but there would still be some way to revoke it legally so that down the line you may decide to go to war with them. I'm sure there are other ideas to make warmongering more interesting, too

with all the barbs, I'm starting to think the correct decision may have been to peace out Dido after taking Biruta so she could be a buffer to deal with the Barbs while you swung your army north to focus on killing the Ottomans and Byzantines. Fighting swarms of line infantry just so you can settle cities in the industrial era seems not worth it. In a domination game on a Large map, every single turn counts.

I think it's a mistake to inject so much gold into your desert city. Its only purpose is the niter, everything else doesn't matter with that one. It's not about asking how much a city needs improvements. It's about asking what the return of your investment in the end will be. The gold would be better spent elsewhere in my opinion.

The one thing I dislike about Civ is dominations are way too easy. Other Civs just dont put up a "realistic" fight imo. I wish there was a way for them to really react with everything theyve got like civilizations throughout history would have. Obviousy there are plenty of times where an army was just way too massive and ahead of its time for one reason or another and nations/civilizations just got taken over without too much of a struggle. But it feels like Civ 6 struggled to really make wars realistic, both in their toll on the nations fighting it, bringing others into the conflict, and the sheer amount of people at times involved in conflicts. I just find if you want a domination victory even as a extremely inexperienced player like myself, its not the hardest thing in the world even on the hardest difficulties.
@mule1298 Жыл бұрын
I disagree, he almost got shitstomped by crossbows were he a less experienced player. Early game captures war well imo, but late game i cannot argue there are literal nukes.
@Amm17ar Жыл бұрын
@@mule1298 Yeah fair enough, I just find for me, when the game starts out as a domination game, its just pretty easy to compound and snowball into a win. It just feels inevitable, which I wish was more of a potential for it to not work out and actually for it to be possible to backfire.
@palmtrees2924 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, the civs don't really put up a fight once you get past the early stage where their production bonuses matter most. So far the only real resistance he's faced has been from the barbs.

@@Amm17arplaying with dramatic ages can help shatter your kingdom so it forces you to backtrack. But the AI just cant handle that modes loyalty pressure.
