@@grillmeisterflash I didn't mean you should camp an island like it was a Des Moines or Stalingrad. What I meant by "good positioning" is picking flanks where you can do most of the damage. Only situation where I would be stationary with Atago is if I could farm lots of enemies unspoted, maybe behind some island or from a friendly smoke.

Normal pass premium BF crate gave me Atago B. Went for the premium pass and got Yoshino B. Last year was Mainz. That was some insane luck with crates. And usually I'm really unlucky with that stuff. Bought 20 Premium crates for cash during BF 2019 and got only 1 ship. That's when i stopped paying cash for crates.

The presence of a heal on T7-8 cruisers makes a huge difference to me. All my favorites have one - Boise, Surrey, San Diego, Fiji, Edinburgh. They can take a few hits and hang in there and have impact. On the other hand, take a big hit or two without a heal and your game is totally altered, your impact suppressed.

Haven't played in a few years but Atago was always my favorite premium cruiser. Pop a waifu captain on it and _chef's kiss._ PQ said it. Atago needs long battles. Zerg games make it very hard to get it to work.

2:30 Not sure a heal at T8 is all that unique anymore. I mean we have some tech tree Cruisers with standard armour being given heals at T8, T7 even. Auckland and Cataluna both having them at T8, and Asturias having one at T7. Those ships are also free. Cataluna having effectively the same DPM as Atago, and Auckland having better DPM and the crawling smoke. While not having as good of concealment both ships are free, have a very similar play-style and a heal. Atago just isn't worth the money these days IMO. Though I'm of the opinion she was never really worth it, but that does come down to personal preference, and it's fine if you like the ship. It's okay to like ships that are only okay, it's okay to like ships that are bad. Like shit my favourite ship is Gascogne, and she's not great by any metric except her heal, that because she's a French BB covered in 32 she'll need far more often than most other ships would. Like can't help but feel, you would be enjoying Myoko just as much as Atago. Seeing as you are effectively just a Myoko with a longer reload and a heal, and situation-ally better torp angles. I just can't see paying money for that.

I got her from Free Battle Pass (Despite I’m already having Atago, so it isn’t feels great) get the free dubs to unlock premium pass and get the USS Black B afterwards. Sometimes I question my luck in video games. It always the game I hate that have the best luck.

@@ingenierianarrativa645 i started playing the game one year ago my winrate went to 48% and PR of like 600-800 then i purchased atago and my WR in this ship is after 250 battles over 60% with a PR of 2000. I dont play it stationary and im all the time on the move kiting only, use the rudder shift module to make it turn faster and learn the kiting playstyle and this boat becomes a beast!

Atago was my first premium, too, because so many said it was so good. For me, kind of "meh." Tankier than Mainz for sure, but I just do WAY better in Mainz. Difference in playstyle, my dmg in Atago is decent, but game impact just bad.

Did the Atago get buffed, or maybe the black version? I got the Atogo when it first came out for sale years ago and it was fun, but over the years seemed less effective. I’ll have to dust it off and give it another go. Edit 0:31 What is the “Mines” he’s comparing the atago to? 2nd edit: NM, he’s referring to the Mainze, which I thought was pronounced “Main-ze”, not “Mines” haha

Yeah, Mainz is pronounced closer to Mines than Main-zee. The "Z" in Mainz has a kind of "T" sound like the "zz" in "pizza", but the "Main" part is pronounced "Mine".

IJN Cruisers give me the absolute greatest feeling of contributing to a game in which I'm not contributing not to, haha. There is something very gratifying landing those huge alpha salvoes, but you can shoot a BB for a solid minute without them being too bothered, these days.

WG needs to address the issue of blowouts. I had 6 in a row yesterday, all against me. Sure, there will be days that I also have some in my favour, but I'll end up doing nothing - and that's no fun at all. You don't feel you're in control of anything.

Don't watch the video then...? CVs and Subs are absolute cancer, and aim bug still (sometimes) happens. If calling out bad things about an game is ruining content for you, go watch something else.
