They have been doing that since almost the start of the games life. The difference is that now they are more upfront about it. No different than current iteration of battle pass or dockyard. It's a shame it's steel, but this ship aint for the average player either.

Being dutch. I'm very proud of you pronouncing it correctly ! Most people just butcher half the words or use half english half dutch. The best I've heard yet was Golden Leeuw instead of Golden Lion or just Gouden Leeuw xD.

Lauria is a fun choice though, don't get new and shiny trick you! Also if you were really focussed on getting this, you can (but shouldn't) also gamble on it, as it can drop from the golden containers that can drop from the christmas gifts

Honestly from what we're seeing, you're not gonna be missing much with these ultra FOMO ships since Gouden + Legmod is a much better airstriker while Goliath has better 234's. Same thing with Hoffman, a Felix Schulze at T10 because hydro... and Chikuma 2 hasn't made many / any waves and has been offered 3x so she's coming back in the future.

Lucked out. I had nearly a years worth of steel saved up. I like the air stikes. Finally a way to deal with island campers. One good is that when you launch an air strike is that you get to briefly see what is hidding behind the island.

This ship is insanely strong in ranked. Accurate guns are the mainstay. Getting 60ish damage per game from guns, 15 to 30k from bombs and 65+ from fires. Best game has been 192k. Haven’t played randoms yet, but it’s a fantastic 16km HE spammer. Good shell velocity makes aiming pretty easy

It seems like it’s not just the lead time that’s longer, but the drop time is increased as well. Those bombs hung in the air for a long time before actually hitting that Kearsarge

The Golden Gift Containers have a 10% chance to drop Georg Hoffmann, Prins Van Oranje, or Chikuma II. There is also a .001% chance of getting the Golden version of the said ships. If you have all of the standard ships, the Golden ships will have a 10% drop rate. If you have all the Golden ships, you will receive 1,250 steel, instead. That said, I'm not a huge fan of crates within crates, and there is only a 1.001% chance of getting any of the ships from a Mega Gift container.

This might go very well in ranked, a good counter to stationary radar ships sitting on island and protecting caps….. Was tossing up which steel ship with coupon next, was going to get the Svea, this might be the one this time. If you play ranked and missions you can get heaps of steel.

The steel coupon doesnt work for steel will ships. Only ones in the shop.steel will has its own coupon (it drops 36k cost ships to 30k)

No point to pick Schlieffen while Libertad exists. Only thing that can matter sometimes in ranked is torpedoes. Other than that Schlieffen is a much worse Libertad in every aspect.

⁠@@ΔημήτριοςΠράπαςthat’s absolutely incorrect. A good schlieffen will knock out a good libertad seven out of ten imo. The lib just takes so much regular damage and no torps. I ranked out silver this season on the schlieff, but started on the lib. I just wasn’t having the same impact. To be fair, the commander for lib is cracked, but so is Lutjens. I have neither, so can’t speak to them when both have their commander.

I go for the GL. I find the Johan a struggle, because the guns seem very weak for me. Having it since half a year and only 80k xp on it so far. I enjoy Rupprecht much more and im only 60k xp away from Schlieffen

I am Dutch and I have the steel... had it been another nation, I would not have bought it. The difference with the techtree Gouden Leeuw is just not enough... Though the patch notes says there will be coupon of -15% so I think its about 30k steel.

Admittedly, I think the CV hate is blown way out of proportion. However, I do think it needs a rework. (though for the opposite reason everyone else wants it.) I do rather like the gameplay of the airstrikes, I also liked the game play of the RTS version of the CVs. This is just an idea, but what if CV's generally operated like standard ships, but only had access to their own secondaries (like in the tested CV rework). They would use their planes like airstrikes, BUT be able to "lock" onto a target and adjust targeting angles like in RTS days. IF the target breaks contact (smoke or hiding or whatever) and the airstrike is already in bound, it will attack the last noted area, unless recalled. I think the CVs would need a large number of 'charges' for its airstrikes, if not unlimited, and have the various ammo types they do now (torps, bombs, rockets, etc.) They would still need to launch the strikes from their deck and the planes would need to travel the distance to target, giving plenty of reaction time, and would only launch one "wing" at a time and not a whole flight (for balance.) I also think they would still need auto launch fighter planes, but perhaps they get a very slow regening "spotter" plane (that doesn't work against smoke), and would be able to designate one spot on the map at a time to "spot". If anyone asks why I posted that here for the video for this ship, I got the idea by watching the gameplay suddenly lol.

@@sevinceur1766 As far im aware the dutch G is spelled as a breathed H. More breathed through the throat than the H most english speakers imagine which comes more through the nose. The german "ch" is a good example. Im german and can understand some dutch because of the similarities. However, that G gave me some headaches when i was in the Netherlands. 😁Great people tho, glad to have them as neighbours ❤
