At first; the only reason for me to get this dockyard ship was just keeping my streak alive since Wisconsin (she's my first) but after reading about it and realized she's looking like a decent Karl Johan alternative, i'm sold completely and got my starter pack. Thanks to the there'll be no holiday / gathering with friends to celebrate something for me as distraction from the game, i'm pretty sure i can handle the last phase of missions. So far every phase has been completed in a day or two depending how much i wanna play the game ( no more than 3 to 4 hours if i really enjoy) . The funny thing for me is in the end i'll have a cheaper but rarer Karl Johan alternative which is looking good. I'm a guy who started to collect multiple "poor man's" type of alternative ships so i'm happy to get her soon. Thanks for the video!

They need to address the power creep, I mean they are testing a Tier X DD with Des Moines guns that is supposed to release by update 14.0 which is ludicrous. Their own notes mention this ship didn't get those guns until the 1970's. Maybe get rid of the Super Ship tier and make them Tier XI officially and start working up from there if you want to begin bringing boats from the 1960's and up into the game.

I enjoy the Niord personally. Heavy AP with that fast reload is great. Sometimes it's best to forget you have torps because you'll want to use them and will make avoidable mistakes.

senario play.. use scondary and the good HE mains at range to start fires and torps running up to other battleships swiching shells to AP for cuisers

The ship I liked the best so far is the Lugdunum. I love playing the secondary battleships in Asymmetric.

Agreed. I spent the doublons i have saved up for the pass and managed to get myself the t7 amagi ( ashitaha), implacable, G.Hoffmann, the teng she, lots of signals , some premium time and the other goods from the crates and pass. Way better spent keeping in mind how many ships i got compared to the 5k for 2 stages and the big grind with the later stages of the dockyard in the coming weeks....Plus the t9 gets MM with T10s and superships more and more often with lots of stupid gimmick ships and you are farmed for dmg without having too much battle impact in randoms.

So far not worried about the grind. Did this weeks in one night, Next weeks looks ok Week after the 200,000 XP basically if do the 3 containers a day 37,000 a day then will complete. Week 7 wil avoid the free xp by doing the cruiser, BB and destroyer missions Week 8 is when gets in fun wih the token for 99000 base xp as cannot boost that. But do have 2 weeks today and just take out a good brawler in Assymetric and should over two weeks doing the 37000 without xp boosters should make through.

The 99000 base XP requirement is the sore spot. There is no boost a available whatsoever .

I screwed up and completed too many stages before buying the starter pack. I simply wasn't paying attention. I didn't realize that the stages were completing without completing every mission within them. There were missions I was sure I would not be able to complete. All of the sudden, 4 stages were completed, but with multiple missions within them never completed. 🤷

I found that the ship is just fine and hydro is nice but makes people lazy about turning just to turn as most of the time i do best is when i make sure i dont run any direction for any length of time and i found i only really use the 3 turrets not all 4 as dont like to give that much broadside and i tend to bound a lot of shots off the sides of the ship by not showing to much

Shima gave me some perspective on just how good WASD hacks are. Hydro is more of a safety net for when you're not aware who can have torps out on you and when. So if you keep track of who can launch torps and whether they're still reloading you can decide if its a good time to push

I just got this ship last night after finishing that long 99000 base exp grind.. I have only done a couple of matches but atm, it feels very in the main gun and torpedo department.

Most players don't seem to enjoy the brawling style. I was able to check out the Niord specs on a few websites and I can definitely tell that it's a very fun battleship.

The angles of the guns are excellent according to some 3rd party API tools, the back turret should have better angles than the 3rd turret, nearly 24 degrees forward. I wonder if it's bugged?

Why would you not use Johans secondaries? They go hand in hand with the torps. You don't really lose anything and the torps are a bit useless when they get destroyed. It's torps are plenty strong enough without further investment and if you just stealth torp you are a waste of a BB. Niord's additional torp range and gun calibre makes it look like investing more fully in the torps is probably more worth it.

I bet this thing will crush Operation Hermes with its enemy BBs on rails... those 15 km torps will do miracles there. I hesitated between the dockyard and the event pass giving the Lugdunum but as Lugdunum will be part of the released branch, I think I'll wait and take the dockyard with my hard earned 6000 dobloons. This thing seems to play like a Kongo but with torps as well.

I have a 15k damage kraken, not actually kill stealing but seemed like it just finishing ships off. My favourite award is dreadnought in my kamikaze, don't play it so much nowadays but got that twice..

Have the KXIV and will get the Niord with only starter packs and they both won't be played often.. Am ftp and earn all i need with ranked. Sure the last missions will be tough grinding :)

Farming Xp, damage ect in Ops made this an easy grind. Finished it out 1/23. Fun boat, play it like a cruiser.

Its a WWI based battlecruiser so its got weaker armor and i would play it a bit ranged.. let secondary and torps do the work

@@fxnska well, if you up like 2 extra hours with blue boosters, is still doable, it's quite tiring and feels like a burden but, like, you are not forced to do them.. and the base XP missions is just a matter of winning brawls with 1000XP or losing for 500/800XP back to back

Ive done all available missions just yesterday. Its 1 day before you can NO longer do missions. Still need 6000 doublons to get it. Its NOT worth it for sure. Absolutely not.

I dont think this ship has bb dispersion or 1.9 sigma... its guns are faaaar too reliable hitting stuff for it... tirpiz have those atributes and its a pain hitting anything beyond 13km and even then 4 hits tops... meanwhile niord puts 6 shells in at 20km reliably

As someone who has Original Missouri, Alaska, Musashi, Georgia, Ohio, Slava, Puerto Rico, Napoli, Shikishima, Stalingrad, Benham, and Bourgogne. I see no reason to ever get this ship. I already have shlieffen and Printz Rupprect, being as this ship is a worse clone. This ship offers very little or anything g exciting for me, so I’m going to pass on this one
