Can you imagine if Wargaming realized the gameplay they advertise with is what draws people in, and the lack of it in game is what puts them off? Ohio is really one of the greater Battleships in this game, i took her as the first RB ship and i do not regret it, she is performing so damn well in Asymmetric, really crazy

Ohio is great mid range but you also need to remember the secondary " potentials" of ships you face. Kurf got a max of 12.5 km for example. So if you go within 12 but not 10 " which is your secondary range" you just bleed to death. At long range you always die vs Thunderers, Conq and the french ones. Ohio's sweet spot is probably 10-8km range.

Also playing Ohio in Ranked - my games lately have all been like your third game. Retarded DD play leads to no spotting or cap control, passive play by the team, except I don't get miraculous torp dodges, I just end up eating them and dying to unspotted enemy DDs and focus fire because I never go unspotted and there is no pressure on their DDs. This season of ranked has been by far, by FAR, the worst I have seen for DD play. As a BB main, you depend on your DDs to be competitive but alas, it is not to be this season. BONUS! Also facing subs with nearly useless 6km ASW or enemy Gato that porpoise and shotgun, took 55k last night in one shot from one that was only spotted when he porpoised to get sight and went under before you could even tell where he was.

Matchmaker tends to completely screw you over at times for no discernible reason. The past couple of weeks in ranked I've been consistently placed with team mates that yolo or die in the first five minutes. There's nothing at all that you can do to win those matches.

Always aim waterline on cruisers and bbs, and full T on the ship, or the nose cheeks. Those give you cit.

Could you play Stalingrad or Incomp in ranked? I’m stuck on my next steel ship after Bourg and don’t know which to get…. And learning the play style is nice too.

I have the stalin. Reaaally solid against cruisers and even BBs, but struggles a bit against DDs and torpedoes. The AA is top notch but can't stop a good CV player. You'll learn how much Haku torps hurt. The Radar helps against DDs but I'd rather have a dedicated radar cruiser like a DM or Worcester

Go for Stalin. Its basically a BB in a cruiser slot but still have radar utility & can tank damage as long its not british HE spam. With incompa, you outspot some cruisers, your priority is cruiser & play it like cruiser too but the amount of brawling BB plaguing ranked make your team losing ships that can tank damage is kinda painful, its also such a shame seeing Napoli or Petro on your team tanking damage from red GK or Ohio rushing on your flank while you running away in a BB with the biggest gun.

@@abdinata9273 really any he spam. I do enjoy burning down Stalin and Moskva with hindy or Zao…. Which makes me kinda on edge because I’m not great with “bow on” cruisers. Open water is much better for me. Meck may be another option, but I can’t find a clan that actually wants to do clan battles so steel is really hard to get right now. 🤷‍♂️

I did the same with St. Vincent and almost 300 k dmg, My team was a complety failure in a single flank, hopely i did the comit and carry them, and they just insulting me to not join yo his lemming train of death

I got into WOWS in 2016, then took a break when I went to college. Now, 5 years later, the game is so wildly different from what I remember. Pushing in isn't a skill thing anymore, it's just luck.

I had really awsome games in Ohio but the team throw it away. Now i play Mecklenburg in ranked and its a beast. U can hit BBs at 16km up to 26km (with spotting plane) so hard i had salvos with 15k up to 22k. Lot of fun i can say. And the low Caliber didnt make alot of overpens most of the time there are pens😊

Another game where you win only because the opposition manages to play even worse than you did and you lie to people that it's a valid play style.
