We don't like immigration agents - the ones' that aren't authorized by ICCRC and qualified to help you with your application in exchange for money - first of all, it's not legal to do that, and second of all, it's so easy that you don't really need paid help! We are a young couple who started their Canadian Immigration journey in 2018 and moved to Canada 3 days before the pandemic hit in March 2020. Over the course of our application, we have seen so many people getting screwed over by greedy / fraudulent and unauthorized immigration consultants who promise you the world in exchange for thousands of dollars and deliver a whole lot of NOTHING; to an extent that in many cases, the applications get rejected, due to their negligence.
Therefore, we are taking matters in our own hands. what certificate do we need to get from the institution where we have taught in our home country?

As a matter of fact, you can even apply for OCT certification without COPR. In the OCT application, they ask for SIN but if you contact OCT and tell them you are not in Canada yet, they give you a temporary number to enter in that field.

Indeed is not a good platform for finding a job as a teacher. Education Canada and apply to education are the two website which flash vacancies in the government sector. As far as the private schools are concerned one gets the post of an assistant teacher and for that also one needs to work hard. I am OCT certified teacher and I am still finding a job. Private sector is not a sector that you can think of always being a part of. If you ask the steps you need to start as a volunteer and then become an assistant teacher. Now getting the assistant teacher position is also not easy. After you have worked as an assistant you may get a full time position but that depends on when do they have a vacancy. So in short if someone is thinking of working as a full time teacher in Canada, it will take you around 8 to 9 years.

Navjot! Please double click on the information shared on this video. Information is misleading. All education boards will not even consider your experience from private schools. All teachers moving usually takes OCT from India - very common. Strongly suggest to cover a teacher from public school to paint a picture for your subscribers

Yes, you can. Just go on their website and click on becoming a teacher > applying > apply now. You will have to fill out your details and settle their fees. After some time you will receive the list of documents for you to upload or to arrange for the relevant institutions to send them directly to the college. They will process everything and get back to you afterwards.

Hi! I have submitted my phd. I was in express entry pool from last 2 years and lost 10 points to age in last 2 years. I was 29 when I entered the pool and now turned 31 while waiting for the ITA. Unfortunately, lost all hopes from express entry. Will you suggest me that can I go for study visa now for masters or any year program. I am not planning for post doc. Depends on ur area of expertise. For business fields, it is almost impossible to get a permanent position in a college or university. Road is uphill. Might be better for other area like STEM, etc.
