16:24 I gotchu bro. I got a Snake Eyez tech to stop the drone ANYTIME you want. Its gonna make GL hesitate EVERYTIME he spits a drone. Making it a challenge to make that meter usage count for him. First route: when he spits the drone on fullscreen like they do, wait for it to get close to you, press f.S then flick. The drone needs to hit pot really close so even if you whiff f.S, the flick will still come out. Best thing about this is GL will have to block the f.S (in air or on land) and that will both stop his advance, and make him block the drone explosion. He got ways to beat this but heres the next route 2nd route: if GL is aware you use f.s and flick, he CAN delay his advance making you whiff the f.S then BT, the large hurtbox on the f.S whiff will most likely get you hit. Trick number 2 is 5H then flick, drone gotta be far tho cuz 5H has longer recovery. 3rd route: if he is now aware of you doing this, he might hesitate, try delaying his BT behind the drone THEN you can just forward megafist out of the drone You dont gotta respect the drone my brother (unless he does it closeup for a mixup on oki), Its actually detrimental for this mfer to drop that drone far away raw on pot because pot has a good tools to stop it.

26:17 Never apologize to Leffen, if his head gets any bigger he won't be able to fit through doors anymore. Besides that, really great breakdown. I'm only a casual viewer of Strive, so a lot of the technical interactions tend to go over my head. Good stuff to Aboii, it's always good to see a grappler placing high in a tournament and it's even better when they win.

Love the way you explain the stuff in none FGC terms. This makes the video a lot easier to consume for people who don't play GGS or aren't that familiar with FGC. I mean, you can't go into every detail, which is understandable but you break it down way more than other channels. It really makes for interesting story telling combined with your mid match breakdowns! Definitely appreciate the effort it took to narrate all of this story in an entertaining way.

Honestly him winning against a goldlewis is incredible. As a goldlewis main i know how hard of a time pot’s have against me (keep in mind that they are of course no where close to this level of skill but still). I love how this game doesn’t actually have ‘bad’ characters but just characters that are harder to be successful with than others. If you pull through tho, you can still be successful, so never give up on your character ❤ (unless they get boring and you dread even playing them because playing a game should be fun)

Gotta do something about Goldlewis' stupid bomb and Leo's 40 minute wallbounce combos. Same problems Pot's had since Strive Launch & Goldlewis' introduction. Common theme of the constant top 5 is the ability to ignore everybody else's mechanics.

Don’t know if someone already pointed this out but 12:03 is a BRC mix setup often used at the end of rounds. Because BRC slows down your animations and effectively increases hitstun it lets you combo off buttons like Leo instant overhead j.p to win the round while also threatening the low. Pot has similar setups off jc close slash, you can look it up on DSbroTV on KZbin if you want to know more

Pot isn’t very good, but I don’t think it’s his neutral or offense is bad; those are actually very good, especially for a grappler. It’s his defense that is the issue. He has to take big risks when on defense while most characters don’t have to most of them either have a DP, fast button, parry, or low profile move. Pot didn’t have any of those things until now (kinda) with his new move, so there is a very big theoretical chance that he may not be bottom tier anymore.
