Potential Interstate 27 expansion to Midland-Odessa would be an important connection

Along with other interstate projects, I-27 would take Midland-Odessa connectivity to the rest of Texas to over 80%. I-27 being a north-south connection is unique.

I-14 will be only in Texas from I-20 in Midland-Odessa to proposal future I-18. I-18 will be planned for Dallas Texas-New Orleans Louisiana route. Meanwhile I-27 will extend from Lubbock Texas to Laredo Texas on the south side, and extend I-27 from Amarillo Texas to Minot North Dakota to the north side, since neither Colorado nor New Mexico are not interested to have I-27. Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia are not interested to have future I-14 due to lack of highway budgets.😢

If Louisiana won't build I-14, then it is doubtful that they will build I-18 either.
