Yes, it's not the only time Kass "talks to herself" in the game. As soon as we first meet her in the island church, she also seems to hear something Aletheia has to say, and when Eivor asks about it, she claims to be thinking "the obvious" to herself.

Yea like I got rlly mad at the ending of valhalla coz of all the stuff Kass did. Layla didn't even fufill her promise to Kass. Then seeing her actually go through the stuff she did in those thousands of years. It's just so sad. Kinda like Arthur from rdr2

Kassansdra WAS supposed to be the only char as intended by the actual fucking devs (Aya was also meant to be main protagonist), but the higher ups made sure they focused more on, or at least adv more the male char cuz, in THEIR words, "women don't sell". So, to demand a change for this isn't anything wrong, and if u think it is, u're the problem. Sure, giving players choice first and then taking it away isn't great either, but it's a problem they fuckin created themselves. And moving forward, since Kass is probably going to be appearing in many other crossovers, it was the right thing to do to only use her and not both. Also, modern day with Layla was SALVAGED in Valhalla. It was so fucking ruined by the Odyssey team that there wasn't much Darby & team could do to make it great. I don't usually write such lengthy replies, never actually, but u were so fucking wrong on so many levels that I just couldn't resist.

Yes the modern day with Layla isn't great to say the most... But that was the closest that they could get to Desmond's modern day story which had a quite nice development and story and reason behind it

If we go with the crossover events happening early in the storyline it does leave the door open for Kassandra to come back when more tombs and artifacts are found.

I hope Kassandra turns into a recurring character for the series, besides being very likeable she also makes a great connection within between eras and characters. Though I do hope she gets a bigger part next time.

@@E7VZ I have played the DLCs and what the new story tells us is that her special abilities are gone because the spear of Leonidas is dead, so other than immortality she doesn't have any special abilities other than being a better than average fighter and inability to die while holding the Staff of Hermes Trismagistus. Don't get me wrong, that's plenty strong but I'm theory she shouldn't have any of her abilities, like the extra strong Spartan Kick, so it would be interesting to see how you would play her in the context of the current AC gameplay.

i had a brief moment of eureka playing this one: everything connects under this crossover. eivor mets kassandra, and by extension, aletheia meets eivor. she knows about eivor and her past self, then tells layla about eivor so she can rejoice with loki in the end.

Okay this is absolute speculation, but somebody of Kassandras intelligence and observation skills through centuries make me wonders if she would not find out about the plan to rescue Loki and then to outsmart both of them, maybe in tandem with Leyla and Desmond. Maybe / hopefully we will see her as a wanderer through time being influenced by mankind greatest minds coming up with things the ISU did not. With hindsight her „death“ scene in Odyssey appears somewhat rushed seemingly fitting perfectly to the plans for the Heir of Memory…but again I thing I am overinterpreting UBISOFTs story arch intention in 2017/18…

I absolutely hate that ubisoft always makes the new free content with ease of access to newer players! really convolutes the whole story for endgame players! and miss too many opportunities to grow the narrative! Eivor could have easily told kassandra that she was a reincarnation of odin, and I would’ve loved to see what exchanges that info would have brought, but seeing eivor literally “acts ignorant” everytime isu plot device gets into the story just makes me angry everytime that happens, just because they doesn’t want to spoil anything for the newer players… just throw a spoiler warning like odyssey and let us continue the story 🤦🏻‍♂️

@@chrismoore5333 She couldn't talk or hear Aletheia if she wouldn't have the staff on her. Thats the lore part. Even in Odyssey she clearly kept that staff as an orb somwhere in her pockets. It doesn't matter what game shows you - it matters what game insinuaites. And it insinuates that Kassandra have the staff always with her. It would be insane to believe that Kassandra would always kept fucking glowing orb in front of her through thousands of years, traveling the whole time through the world unnoticed. And when we meet her in modern times (with Layla), wearing a suit, we can be sure she clearly have been among the people frequently and often. The only thing they didn't care is to gave them a pouch (like they did with Ezio for example) to keep that orb inside.

@@chrismoore5333 There are many other characters in the game with highly concentrated Isu DNA and they don't glow. The staff's influence on her is what makes Kassandra glow. I agree that it would have been better if Kassandra had been using the staff as a weapon throughout the DLC, but not doing it is not a plothole.

Simple Eivor did not know what the Isu or their artifacts are so for him/her they never thought it was important for Kassandra to know and second the tombs and sites Eivor went to are of no Interest to Kassandra she only wanted the um how do I put this "Dangerous," POE.

Each of these DLC and expanded questlines is supposed to be available to do in any order so technically you can do this crossover really early on before ever encountering any other Isu ruins or relics. So all the storylines have the assumption this is like the first time Eivor is seeing the crazy 'magic' stuff. It's lazy writing but the best we're going to get from free post-launch dlc. Hopefully the full fledged paid Ragnarok dlc will actually have story marker checks scripted in so we have proper responses based on prior completed content. But like, I'm not surprised they went with the crap writing that leaves plot holes like this for these free updates.

Easy, the DLC is written to be played as soon as you build Valka's house in England, so basically, it takes place before the endgame. Which is bullshit but that's what happens when you want to give too much freedom to the players.

You don't need to have collected all the shards for this monologue to trigger, I triggered it while I was on the way to getting one. It might only trigger if you have at least one shard but I haven't tested that.

Whoever thinks that the narrative and lore doesn't makes sense in Valhalla must be insane. It's all about riddles, figures and parallel aligned goals between Eivor and Hytham and Kassandra (now), it's 100% unrelated AC narrative, lots of magic, loving it. Odyssey's story on the other hand is so confusing, Kassandra is after the artifact the piece of Eden and then the game finish with Kassandra visiting Egypt? Wait..What? How dare Ubi to evolve Odyssey with the previous ones?

@@chrismoore5333 You mistake reincarnated for revived. It's complicated but in short , the difference is that reviving is the rejuvenation of an entity as a whole mind, body, soul, after death. Reincarnation is passing on the life force or soul of an entity to another one in the future, either partially or as a whole, which leads to similarities such as way of thinking, feelings and aptitude or talent for specific skills. But the reincarnations are not entirely the same person in different times, rather two separate entities that share the same life force, or soul, that has been passed on through time. So if the 2 entities that are incarnations of the same soul do somehow exist in the same time period they can meet each other. One piece of fiction that portrays this well is the Naruto anime, where Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki are reincarnations of Madara Uchiha and Hashirama Senju respectively. Which leads to the events at the end of Shippuden, when Madara and Hashirama are revived from death and meet their reincarnations face to face and talk and do battle beside and against them. BTW, nobody cares that you've got your panties all up in your sissy ass over Alexios, never being canon to the story. It's red panties night for our girl Kassandra, every night.
