Potomac River Tournament Fishing! (MLF - Pro Circuit)

The Pro Circuit on the Potomac River was a tough one. Wrapped up Day 1 in 42nd place with 14 lbs 3 oz, mostly caught with the Chatterbait. Day 2 was more difficult than the first with a total of 12 lbs 6 oz. Finished out the tournament in 52nd place and a $10,000 check, can’t complain about that!

It's amazing how things change over time. I fished that grass flat all through the '90s and early 2000. Spinner baits and wide-body shallow water crank baits were the baits that were most successful there. Today nobody even carries them anymore! The winning weights are the same as they were then. I won a Federation one tournament and the Redman on back-to-back weekends on a lipless (rattle trap) and spinner bait. Won a boat on it too! Back then Rangers cost 20K. It's funny that those baits are not used much anymore! Did the fish or the fisherman change?
