Lol girl, I got myself a Verrucosum seedling from The Green Escape and it was so cute. It had about 8 leaves already but it was not happy after repotting and went downhill fast! I lost every leaf but 1 and it only was left with a node and a bit of stem lol. I filled one of those air layering plastic bubble containers with moss and put the plant inside hoping to save it. It freaking worked! It has 3 leaves now and I already put it on a moss pole so that it gets used to climbing. I can’t believe I was able to save such a teeny tiny piece of plant. Moral of the story is don’t ever give up on a plant! If it still has green and it’s not mushy, it’s always worth a shot!

You’ve done great with wet sticks. I only got two of seven wet sticks to grow roots and leaves. And I’ve still hit them. They are scindapsis. Your plants look great.

@@iamclaudiaqI appreciate when Planty videos come out early in the morning. I can watch while I watch the Today Show. Otherwise it’s political podcasts.

It will be great when they start growing into the moss poles.

I always fill my moss pole right away then when it grows it’s steady there for the roots.
@lisaanglim9588Ай бұрын
Two is plenty when they get bigger. You’ll have a huge, Unmanageable plant on one pole.

My mint adonsonii has very wonky leaves also. I have struggled with it, so I put it outside. It has 4 "nice" leaves put it is not rooting in the moss pole. I would put 3 on a pole for a nice full plant. Thanks fir sharing your lovely plants!!!
@iamclaudiaqАй бұрын
Thank you so much for watching! Try grafting tape on the top nodes to encourage it to root into the pole. Good luck!!
@Coastallife-r9jАй бұрын
@@iamclaudiaq thank you!!! I will give that a try.

I find wet sticks hard to grow. I had only 2/6 scindapsis grow any roots or leaves. But I got one exotica out of it and a jade satin.

How do you decide when propagating or rehabbing weather to use perlite, moss, water, or soil?

I just repotted my Verrucosum after propping her in a greenhouse like environment for MONTHS to get her aerial roots growing!! I put her on a moss pole and she’s in terrible shock and I honestly don’t think the leaves will recover 😢idk what to do she’s my favourite!😭

I don’t like moss poles either. The wet moss feels gross as you squeeze out the water 💦

You know the algae will not hurt your plants and when you pot them up, they’ll be out of sight? Right?
@iamclaudiaqАй бұрын
I do, I’d just rather get rid of it for my own sake haha

@ it won’t harm you either. I think if it as out of sure out of mind. It can’t grow in the dark.
