2 out of 3 of my boys didn't really talk until they were like 2 and a half or 3. I wouldn't stress it to much girl! The doc always told me that oldest and youngest seem to have problems because why talk when everybody else can do it for them. Good Luck Tho!!!! U got this!♡

Outstanding Lex! Keep up the great work! Always remember, occasional accidents will happen even when you make an effort to get to the bathroom. I can remember when I was 3. I was at my father's friends house playing with his kids, I suddenly had to go to the bathroom. I knew it instinctively. I ran up the stairs to the bathroom and made it only to the third step. At that point my bladder let loose and couldn't hold it. Ifelt embarrassed and nervous. If this happens, don't be upset because we can only hold it for so long that a very small bladder can only hold so much liquid.

This has to be the first video that actually has a non verbal toddler! My son says nothing but just makes sounds like yours. I was worried and unsure about either waiting till my son talks to start potty training, but he has been showing signs that he isn't comfortable in a nappy anymore. Thank you for this video, it has given me some comfort to know that we can do this even though he isn't very verbal.

I can truly relate to your mom fatigue-would love a video on how you handle sleep. My two young kids, one on the spectrum, are challenging sleepers and I’m mostly a zombie these days. 😀

My daughter is 6 and nonverbal and has some other disabilities and I wish I could potty train her.. one day I hope. She doesn’t understand the difference, or what pottying means. Just found your channel and subbed. It’s nice to find another family that we can relate too! We vlog too, we’ve met some amazing families since we have done KZbin.

I had something happen that disabled the bath room and now it's fixed so we can resume potty training. My daughter has speech delay, so I have been like overwhelmed. But, she's starting speech therapy soon, so hopefully that helps. She has gone on the potty but she also is very stubborn. She's like "No!". Well they certainty know how to say 'no'. Anyway, I understand. It's hard when people have all this stuff to say but they don't know that kids with speech delay have unique circumstances the parent's gotta work around. Sounds like you are doing a great job. Believe me I get it. Take heart : )

We saw our paed yesterday and he has told us he sees some sort signs of autism in our son. He just turned 2 yesterday and he's going to start us with an ot and start on the process of diagnosis. Honestly, I don't care if he gets diagnosed or not, I just want him to get some help which he desperately needs. I know it's going to be a long process, but I think if we know what we're dealing with, it will be better for him and us to manage. He only has 4 words and a couple of 'sounds' like broom, eww and awoo. Your posts have been super helpful. Thank you.

I am so proud of lex, I'm sure you guys r too. James was #1 trained when he was 3 but for him it literally took until he was 5 to get #2. When he got it he got it.

I love how real you are!!!I can soooo relate I have 5 kids under the age of 7. no twins, their 7,5,3,1 & 3 months old. And my husband left almost a year ago now right after we got pregnant with my last because his drug addiction was ruining all of lives. I was sad when he left I wish he could get it together :,( but I prepare for the worst. now a year later I got our houses lease in my name and the bills, trash, electric, & oil and my cell(which I & we don't have any tv, internet or phone . 😮 yea. lol I love you! your awesome mama!

I found your page a few days ago & I want to say thank you! I can relate so much to your vlogs and I don't have anyone around me in the same situation, so it's a blessing to not feel so alone & like I'm the only one. I have a non verbal 3 1/2 year old(born with Cleft lip and palate) potty training has been a struggle... we just really made true progress this week. I also have a 6 1/2 year old with ADHD(non medicaid) and delays. We have chosen to homeschool and let them progress it their own way. Even the video with your olderst girl addressing she is not adopted... My oldest son has a darker complexion and looks just like his dad! We get stairs, I have been asked for his birth certificate at appointments and someone has actually asked me if I'm his nanny 🤦! So thanks again for the vids! I have really enjoyed getting to know your family... And please ignore the haters and people that post negative comments. You are a great mom! We are trying for baby 3 now and people think we're crazy but our boys are perfectly imperfect! I couldn't imagine life without them, they have taught me so much! 😘😍😘💪

Soo much paperwork! I dread it as well. I make photocopies of intake forms so I have everything in one place for the next time. Do you get help from the state? I am in PA and we get diapers because autism is considered a disability. Not sure if that is the same everywhere.. We haven't started training our nonverbal 4yr old. Lex is doing great! 😊

I ran into issues with insurance and availability over a year ago when I tried to get my kid into therapy. But, now I think I found a place that takes her insurance, and I find out tomorrow if they can see her. I hope so!!!!

Your sooo lucky! Mine wouldn't get potty down until 5! He also didn't like mess in diaper. So he would play in it too. One day it was so bad I threw him in shower forgetting sensory and disliking shower. I guess that scared him so he never did it again in fear i would throw him in shower. I felt bad but hey i still won! Lol lol
