So happy Riley has got the potty down. I also started potty training my kid when he was like 3 years and 1 month and trust me every kid is different and get it at different times. The most important thing is that they get it down at their own pace. Really loved this video 😌

Truly interesting how things are done on the opposite side of the world. Where im from kids use pull ups as soon as they can roll over or latest by the time they are standing. The thinking is that pull ups was designed for the more active movements hence easier on and off and less prone to leaks

@kaylabuell I had the same situation as you where when I tried to train my daughter at 2.5 it was a nightmare. Trying again at 3. Day 1 was good. Today was day 2 and we seemed to have some push back. She would say “no” when I told her to go to potty when she realized she had to go. Any suggestions are appreciated 🙏 prayers please for tomorrow. I have an older child & our schedule is about to be in “busy season”. I really need this time to work 🙏🤞🙌

ON POTTY-TRAINING BOYS: My mother-in-law says she potty-trained her 3 boys by taking them outside and telling them to pee on trees LOL! Maybe this isn't the best method because the son I'm married to still misses the toilet half the time!

My daughter is two and I cant wait to potty train her. Iove the tips you gave us. This will be suoer helpful. Once we move into our new home we want to train. She used to go pee on the potty at one buy she regressed like Riley did but hopefully she doesn't this time

For the night time, what do you suggest for like liquid consumption? Do you get Riley to stop drinking water or milk a certain amount of time before bed?

I think it really depends on what works for you. I've read and heard a lot of people say no liquids 2 hours before bed. But my mom said she never limited our liquids when we were potty trained.

My 5 year old son who was 2 1/2 at the time was in size 6 diapers then transition to pull ups.. he was not ready to potty train and it was different because he was sitting down instead of standing up like what boys normally do. He was trained 98% by 3 and went to preschool but he did have a couple of accidents at school. For night time I didn’t have him wear underwear but pull ups because he would still pee during the night. I think age 4 is when he can sleep during the night without accidents. He was the only child at the time. Now with my 17 month old daughter she’s more Interested in the potty and wants to go potty like us. She has her own potty and she does go in the mornings but I feel like she isn’t really ready for underwear lol! Crazy how different these two kids are.

I’m using pull ups for my 2 year old daughter since she was 1 lol because she doesn’t sit still and it is like impossible to use regular diaper😂
