Hello. Am due for my jpouch. Can you say it's positive, your quality of life has improved since having your jpouch pls

For me it has been a great experience going through with my reversal and using my jpouch. I’ve had ups and downs due to getting a stricture but overall it’s been all positive and I don’t regret it at all!

@@lyndzerella Thank you very much for the advice. I hate the bag . It's caused me a lot of problems with the type of job I do so I spoke to my Dr about jpouch. Hopefully I have it done next year. What am worried about the jpouch is one still would use the loo for about 6-8x a day.

good to hear from you, and the scope, rather you than me!! Does the rectal cuff concern you for the future? Also do you not follow a strict diet? Saw you eating at the fair with no concern?

No not really as far as the rectal cuff. Stress was a big trigger for my ulcerative colitis when I still had my colon and I’m sure it still plays a part in my rectal cuff but overall I’m not worried about. :) I don’t really have a specific diet I stick too as far as what I can eat with my jpouch. I do stay away from raw vegetables and popcorn. I also just try to limit the amount of grease I’m eating. It’s ok occasionally but don’t want to make a habit of always having it and upsetting my gut.
