Poulan Pro 42cc Chainsaw was left to rot (WILL IT RUN) part 1

You know my friend there is a lot of people that say poulan pro chain saw's are junk, I have 2 of them and I'm very pleased with them both! I also have a wild thing that I have had for years and l have cut a lot of wood with it, they are good saw's! I'm so happy to see you with this poulan getting it back running! I would like to say one thing, wild thing, I thank I love you! Thank you my friend for this great video!!

I have the same saw works like a champ ,good little saws had mine 3yrs now never let me down for the mount of time I use it good job on the video's keep them coming

Thank you very much. I’ve been working hard on video content since this upload. I think they are good little saws as long as they are taken care of. I think they get a bad reputation because they get abused and neglected. I really appreciate the support.

I've sold a couple of those saws. They are not bad for box store saws. Making 2 part series videos is good. It keeps your viewers coming back. Looks like you will have a winner there Alex. Keep up the good videos!!!

Alex we're enjoying the hell out of the content! Saving another abused piece of equipment. That will make someone a nice little saw when you get running. It definitely needs a bath. What usually is wrong when it starts smoking out of the front!? after you've ran it fine for about a half hour... refueled and filled bar oil.. now it smokes out of the front? carb maybe? and won't stay running long at all and starts smoking worse and worse! and now i don't want to keep starting it to avoid hurting it worse. it wasn't smoking at all when i ran it before refueling

You could pull out the spark plug and see if it seems fouled up or a lot of oil and carbon. Sounds like it’s running rich with fuel. It could be a number of things. Make sure your fuel mix is correct, clean the plug and check the gap, and also check the air filter.

I'll try that. yeah i did top it off with what little gas and 2 cycle mix that was left in my container.. and that makes sense.. because it looked a little light in color? I'll check it all out.. other than that it does the job.. not too bad of a saw. had it for 2 years and it's just now starting to act up on me..

@@MM-ig1iv yea they get a bad reputation, but they are good little saws. I would say try and give it a tune up, and go from there.

You should be able to look up your model number on the particular saw you have and find a part number. Once you find the part number you can look online or a local shop to see if they have a replacement.

Them pollan's do look good. Just hear to much of a bad rap about them.

I think it’s generally the way they are treated. They seem to be good saws as long as they aren’t trashed and they are out away properly for storage.
