I remember this episode well! I still think of the "Junk Food Junkie" song any time someone uses the term "junkie." I even remember watching a scene with the villains in the garbage truck and wondering why Brattina had a triangle on her shirt. What a strange thing to stick in my head for thirty years.

I was 9 years old when this episode came out. I recorded it on VHS and watched it a ton. My 19 year old brother died shortly after in a car crash. Finding this episode right now is seriously triggering some emotions in me right now.

Correction: Talking Friends episode 10 call the 80s 'the Rockin' 80s'. There's really no difference. PS: I quoted 'everything must've been better in the 80s' because Tom said to in the Talking Friends reboot Talking Tom and Friends.

@@djmutt2000 1980s AND 1990s, I'm a 90s kid myself and there were countless great things about the 90s too. As an example here's one great thing: it was the Golden Age for the channel Nickelodeon. I'm also a big fan of 80s stuff, so yeah everything was better from 1980-1999 (with maybe 2000-2003 also counting, since the 90s kinda spilled over into those years). One of my favorite things about the 1980s was the fashion. Have you ever seen 1980s fashion, on the internet or otherwise? Because it was awesome! I especially love the mix-match look with asymmetrical accessories and neon colors. Oh yeah, if you haven't already you should check out the music videos 'Back to the 80s' and 'Back to the 90s', both by two guys Ben & Jensen. :D

Putting on the dog meaning wearing fur, it's a slang term to tell your lady to dress in her fanciest Duds often involving a fur coat depending on how much money they had it would be made of mink other options would be muskrat, raccoon, coyote, wolf(not so much today) or bear.

This episode depicts red meat as healthy food. That might be true for dogs, but not for humans, and this episode doesn't make that distinction.

It all comes down to what we personally like as individuals. I rather enjoyed some of these songs. Some more than others, and a few of them, not so much. But for the light hearted type of cartoon this is, I think they are well suited for this type of program. That said, I see no reason for anyone to be offended if another person dislikes something that I like. I mean, why? It is what it is, and we all react and process it differently. To each their own. :)
