When I was young and " on the road" I used to read books of Jack Kerouac, Jack London and such stuff. Now I` m much more older, I usually read books written by Patti, when I"m on the road. I really really love her style and you can read them over and over again and you " ll always discover something new in them. That " s poetry...

Thank you for a magical interview with the giant goddess that is Patti Smith. I could listen for days and days! Her Book of Days is amazing and I can't wait for all of the other things she talked about in the pipeline. Also--her SubStack is so much fun, which I subscribe to as well. I adore her and really appreciate your excellent interview.

She wrote the foreword to Sam Shepards ‘The One Inside’ and when she was writing ‘Year Of The Monkey’ he was by her side, dying from motor neurone disease and working on his final masterpiece ‘Spy Of The First Person’. What’s interesting is to read these 3 books side by side. During the creative process they swapped manuscripts and U sense how each influenced the other’s writing style.
