This is the biggest table with resin that we have ever done! It's 20ft long, 255L of resin, and it has $7600 of resin in it, which we did in a single pour!

@danielseverson9565
@danielseverson9565 3 жыл бұрын
You would need to find one able to withstand the weight, and have enough maneuver ability! As well as cost effectiveness! There is also available overhead space, can the ceiling hold it? Do you need to strengthen the ceiling? There are allot of factors to take into consideration. The number one consideration is safety! Can a crane system remove the chance for injuries? Those men coming out from under the platform above, just to the side, but under the table is not smart! Along with no hard hats is one that should not happen! That's one hell of a chance there taking! I wouldn't allow that to continue! Have them go off to the side along the wall before the lift!

This is very cool! You mentioned you over-pour to fill in cracks and voids in a single shot, but isn't that a tremendous amount of waste? Or does it save a lot in other ways?
@BlackForestWoodCo
@BlackForestWoodCo 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! For us it makes sense as it saves us time and we have higher over head costs that the typical hobbyist. If we don’t over fill, we have to individually fill in all of the smaller cracks and voids, which is very time consuming. By over pouring, we do spend more on resin but can completely skip the filling stage!

The amount of bubbles always seems very minimal with your resin 💪. It is also not that noticeable with these coloured resins, but i was wondering what you do in clear castings. What if there are bubbles on the inside of the casting, so you wont be able to fill them? Do you ever have pieces that you have to discard because of clearly visible bubbles on the inside of the casting? cheers

Wow. Right in the middle of watching, a rainbow appeared outside my window. I definitely like the smokey grey. Have you ever thought of trying to use rounded border boards making the table edge round. Or rounding the ends of the table. Some customers have no taste. And that is why there is a market for wood encased in plastic.

So why didn’t you do your pour on the bottom level???...It would have been a lot easier I would think...

Our pour room with all the proper cooling requirements are upstairs, also dust would get into the pour if we did it downstairs

if you people would do thin seal coats on there first , you will seal up everything and then you wouldn't be wasting so much resin . i would about bet that you wasted at least 10 gallons

We don’t over pour to be able to plane bubbles off. We over pour to save time by filling in all smaller cracks and voids in a single shot, as opposed to doing them one by one. Furthermore, sealing edges is one of the worst things you can do for a resin table when it comes to longevity. It greatly compromises the strength of the bond over time and can lead to separation. We have done many tests on this!

Great job guys!!! But why does you always have to talk about what is worth and what it cost? A good job as you guys do all the time can be priceless for the customer, so don’t let you down and fall into the trap where you have to mention $ all the time. Let your work speak for it’s self, and if anyone have any thoughts about that, let them try to do it themselves.... Keep up your good work!
