Interesting results. I like seeing what different pigments and resins do. So really it's a teaching video for us. I don't learn anything if only good videos are posted. So now you've explained what probably happened. I can look at my fails and have an idea what I might have done wrong. Thank you posting this video. I do go back and re-watch these videos and try to make changes from the lesson learned.

Yes, exactly! It’s extremely helpful (perhaps moreso than successes) to see “failures” (actually aberrant results). We learn from our mistakes, not our accomplishments.

Regardless of the expectations...its a very pretty flower!!! Truly...the colours are amazing 😻 i love the veining around the outside, for example! So very pretty....makes me wanna do these colors with paint on a canvas ..all my art is packed away just now but i am now putting away all the Christmas stuff to put my paints etc back and i so want to do this as a paint pour. I think it's VERY pretty, Julie, and I really like it! The metallic edges twinkling at us is a perfect touch. It all looks like caramel crème candy...my very favorite flavor! 😍 I'm so glad you showed us this, even if you didn't get what you wanted! I had NO idea too much ink could prevent the white sinker from dropping to the bottom? Now, I know! I had just assumed it would drop just because the resin was so thin. BTW, I think the dark push is just what it needed. We can see the petals better, imo.

I think the 3D look of this is interesting, some of the surface around the outer parts and then seeing deeper in the more middle area outside of the center you placed into it.

I do love it, though! It’s a gorgeous result, whether it’s flowery or not. I do love the sort of astronomical sun look of it. I mean, it looks a bit like a satellite picture of the sun, as opposed to an artistic representation. Or maybe it’s the Eye of Sauron.

I suggest closing your center with a toothpick swirl as an alternative to sucking. It might help the resin move just enough, and any swirl seen from the front should add a hint of motion. I also want to mention that just because a combination of materials, weather, colors, etc doesn't achieve rhe artists desired results, it may suit other tastes. I love learning from your experience, whether it turns out ot not. I have learned how to turn failures into favorites from you!!! Your exploratory spirit has definately influenced my own art, I could never express my appreciation for your inpiration enough, you are my Resin Goddess, lol. ^..^~~~

I think it’s beautiful. The petals aren’t as defined.. a little more abstract. It maybe isn’t what you were going for but, the result is wonderful. I love the colors. There’s a resin company in the US called Stone Coat. Their resin is extremely heat resistant.. close to 500F/260C. I’ve used their Art Coat to make Trivets and beautiful Table Tops. Once it’s completely cured.. I think it’s either 21 or 28 days. Very hot pans can be set on the trivets directly from the stove top or oven. I couldn’t find anything on their website indicating if they ship to Australia. Amazon also carries it. Maybe some of the resins you are already using are high heat resistant. Your Cascade mold and your other similar deep molds are perfect for trivets so, I thought I’d mention it. Great job as always Julie!

The resin in the cups... Brown looks like coffee but the yellow looks like honey mustard. Now I'm hungry for chicken and HM lol. End result looks like yummy Carmel creme latte. (Don't ask me why but I'm stuck on foods and desserts on this video lol.
