Poutine and Red Bridges|Autumn Motorcycle Ride

In October, I went on a beautiful ride with friends. The Autumn colors were just breath taking. We also went to eat poutine. It was good. Than, we were able to ride to 2 red bridges. It was beautiful.
In all, nice Autumn weather, a great ride with awesome friends.

So nice to see you out again with your friends! I enjoyed the views and music! Well... except for that really wide corner!! Lol. Cool covered bridges, especially so close together! Winter seems to have finally arrived on Beaver Lake...it is frozen over this morning. But my heart is warmed having met a wonderful woman just down the road from me. We're enjoying a lot of time together in this strange world!

Thanks! Yes, the views were beautiful. This ride was in October. Winter is here, too. It's not my favorite, but that's what it is being a Canadian, right? Beaver Lake must be looking good in its ice coat. I am really happy for you that you found someone to share your life with. Yeah... that wide corner... 😒

Great video Judith. I have the same bike as you, but I'm too timid to ride much. Did it take you long to get used to your bike? I need to find some friends to ride with. You inspire me to keep trying.

It took me about a year of riding regularly to be comfortable on my bike. I still feel awkward sometimes. One thing, I think, I found that helped me was to sit closer to the fuel tank. So my arms are not as extended, which then helps me feel the movement of the bike more. Also, I rode around my neighborhood almost every evening for an hour or two. But, as most things are, the more your ride, the more you learn. Finding friends who were willing to respect my "mellow" riding was really helpful. I found a motorcycle facebook group, and that is where I met my friends. None of my "everyday" friends ride. I still need to practice, I really don't feel very comfortable in curves. Next season, that will be on top of my list. Good luck with your riding journey. Give yourself some time. Not everyone is raised on a motorcycle, and some just have it more natural. Oh, and remember, ride YOUR ride, not someone elses. Take care!
