As an Australian driver in Germany I was hugely impressed with the discipline and adherence to road rules by German drivers. They are excellent drivers who take pride in being the best drivers they can be. Not like the ignorant unskilled and incapable idiots that we have on the roads in Australia. It comes down to the national attitudes in general. I found Germans to be fiercely competitive at every thing they did. Near enough was not good enough. They always did their best. Wonderful country.

That Roller is a boss. But those flashing yellow lights would drive me bonkers. There must be a way to shut them off.

I only see flashing red lights. You don’t see them in the car … it’s do to with video frame rate.

Nice, but back in the 70's when most of the autobahn had no speed limits I regular used to take my TR6 Mk1 up to 125mph with the top down. (Was stationed in W Germany in the army).

Thats the infrared LED's for the drowsiness monitoring system, you can't see them in real life as they fall outside a humans visual wavelength range. It just happens that most cameras do actually pick up that wavelength too if they dont' have an infrared filter on them.

I thought they were lane departure warnings - the car being so wide that even the slightest movement off-centre prompts the car to warn you that you're a little close to the white line on that side of the road!

Electric engines are perfect for this kind of application: lots of torque at all regimes and almost no noise at all makes for the ultimate blend of speed and for comfort for a big luxury grand tourer. I wouldn't like them on other cars, but for large luxury ones, or on trucks and SUVs they are perfect.

That door opening with the hinges directed on the other side then usual is soooo much safer for bycyclists! And it is a beautifull car as well and it drives like over a dream. But that door. Great!!!!
