My friend rode just like this- on the day he was to be selling his bike. He landed a great new job finally, had a baby and life was good so he wanted to get one more ride in before it was gone. He went down hard. He is now confined to a bed or wheelchair- for life. He has pain daily in the one arm that he can actually feel. Nothing else...and I mean nothing else works. He can talk at least. Seems to have gained about 100 lbs. He was a good looking dude and popular and fairly cool. Family left him. Bills are in the millions. He will only get worse said every doctor. Pot no longer works like it did. Sold my bike years ago- no regrets. Not telling anyone how to live their life. Just don't think like is short- so do what you want. For him, his life is painfully too long. It is short when you are happy and mostly pain free. I rode 20 years. He was a better technical rider than I was- but not a safer rider. He liked to go fast- no time to react to the truck nearly stopped in the slow lane. He was doing 150 mph. He liked to smoke. Do the math. He admits, he was dumb. He has a lifetime to think about his decisions.

You must have been hurt in your life. Would you like his name and details? There is even an article in the news I can send to you. Provide your email if you like. His family and I are close and they are the one's who are suffering greatly. Yes, when you consistently ride motorcycles at high speed, very bad things can happen and happen quickly. I rode for over 20 years. I have attended many of the rallies including Daytona. I have good memories but I was one of the very lucky ones. My skill level was decent but that has little to do with it. God protected me when I was on that thing. I have had friends who were far better technical riders than me (not necessarily safer riders), who went down and of the ones who lived, many of their lives are not the same. I suppose you think that is yet another story. If so, do get some help- for real. A little healthy cynicism is fine, but if you are too cynical it is no way to live. I know people like this. Germans are so much more considerate while driving. In the US, people are inconsiderate and don't understand the importance of a passing lane. Some sit in the passing lane while gabbing with passengers or phone conversations while cars line up behind to pass them. This in turn causes lane jumping, tail gaiting and general all-out chaos (and accidents). We would have such a smoother flow of traffic if people would respect the passing lane in the US. Das mit 300 fahren, also nur bei freier Autobahn am besten Sonntag früh, ohne LKW und fast nix los auf der Autobahn. Glaub deine Maschine ist doch etwas schwerer was man hier schon sieht beim beschleunigen. Auf meiner RR hatte ich auch nie Angst weil sich das Ding einfach sehr gut und sauber fahren lässt. I sold my GSX1400 after a few runs when I found myself tempted to around 140mph. It’s not safe at those speeds on British roads, and with no fairing of any kind. But, it’s also addictive. The sound of the big motor spooling up, the sweet box, the near absence of exhaust noise and the utter magic carpet feeling is impossible to match in a car. Bikes are visceral. You’re actually going fast and there’s nothing between you and the hard furniture if anything goes wrong. Still ride old clunkers. I won’t buy another fast bike (& the ‘14 isn’t really fast compared with the BMW & other litre bikes, some of which are nearly race reps with lights). I’m not a good enough rider any longer, after 47 years of continuous bike ownership. I’ll never fully give up two wheels. Despite getting on in years, I feel young again when riding, even slowly. It’s the feeling of freedom, which we’ve way too little of these days.

That strange lack of sound on the max speed, when you are just leaving the noise behind... nice.

Hi. What was the placement of that external mic if I may ask?

@@BogiCECHL04it worked well. No real wind noise & we could hear that gorgeous motor. That also explains the driveline noise, you’re right over the final drive.

Very nice, the Busa makes it effortless - can I ask where you got those folk tops / covers from?
@BogiCECHL045 ай бұрын
@leonskevington They were already installed before I bought the bike. But I think you can get them from aftermarket or Suzuki.

Thats right, only with that exhaust, and the original, you can drive in germany. The Akrapovic cost here😊 2700 € Euro. And you have only 1% more power. The sound is a bit better than the original, a little bit. 😢
