In a marriage other than the couple all others are intruders. I was told about this by someone in 1978. I married in 1980 and it was a love marriage , unheard of in Brahmin community. We are married for more than 4 decades and lead our life happily. Hence, it is between the couple to deal with things. I agree that we should not look for validation from others as it is our life. Validation should come from within us. Period.

Can you also help me understand the difference between blind faith and information based faith. The term trust is an outcome of establishing one's credibility and Credentials. Trust is a product of thorough examination and evaluation. Trust can be built over a period of time after consistent evaluation.

What a wonderful talk? Admire this talk. Pre-marriage evaluation, planning as well as psychological ( basic, security, social, Esteem vs Ego and finally Sel Actualization Needs), financial, educational, intellectual, emotional, socio-cultural, family practises Compatibility is of paramount importance. This is the essence of pre-marriage discussion. All other discussions, between the families and the tobe married possibly future couple, are a simple waste of time. There are qualified Marriage Councillors with psychology background who can guide take near perfect decisions. Still, there may be some gaps and missing links. But, that should not deter us from taking the best possible informed decision. This will be really useful for youngsters to take the best possible decisions. However, nothing can be 100% perfect - but, it doesn't mean that we should pursue & follow the best possible pathway. Once again my congratulations & best wishes to this young woman.

Half true.. But most scenarios boys only take care of family. Thats why most of bridegroom side will always choose if there is brother in bride side, they are not interested in taking care or supporting in laws. Thats true fact, even same applies in bride side (They check if bridegroom side sister is married, so she can be easy going, also want to live separately, so she doesnt want to take care of in laws.) Our society is a cheap, selfish one. IMO. I looked for bride, a family rejected just because my father doesnt have own house and i was on loan.
