POV Drive in 300whp Turbo BRZ // CRAZY TURBO NOISES

Yo guys!
So many of you have been requesting more videos and updates to my brothers turbo charged Subaru BRZ. It's been 3 months of driving the car and everything is still working great! The car now has over 1,000 miles with the turbo kit.
We noticed that the HKS BRZ Turbo Kit doesn't seem to get the attention it deserves. Because of this, we wanted to create a video showing how awesome and amazing this kit drives and sounds. Enjoy 10 minutes of pure driving on some Oregon backroads. We hope you enjoy!

Wtf? That's sounds insane man. I also have one but I just hear my turbo after I let off the throttle. All I hear when I floor is my straight pipe exhaust HAHAHA. LOVE that sound coming from your whip brother, how did you make it sound better?

There’s only a muffler delete on the car so barely any exhaust noise. Didn’t do anything else besides the HKS kit. No BOV, tuned at 13psi. Turbo has just always been super loud! We put a mic in the engine to record this video.

@@larrylampshade1734 Yep! 92 octane. Kit didn’t come with a boost controller and haven’t picked one up yet. Also a really good tune goes a long ways. We used RSpec in Portland and highly recommended him! Tuned at 270whp on a mustang dyno (310ish dyno jet)

@@drewsama stock internals, stock ecu. Besides the turbo kit, we added fuel pump, injectors and a MAP sensor

Would dial out that excess flutter, not holding boost enough on let off. Quit with the short shifting too, wind that lizard out, it's what a turbo is all about!

Car and everything sounds good but could drive little a more agressive next time to get bigger pulls, was kinda hard to watch I was waiting for those moments with big pulls going all out. Guess I’m use to watching Matt Farrah’s one take. Otherwise nice video!

@@mresab1997 I don’t know exactly but I believe because there’s no BOV, the air goes back through the turbo, spinning it the other direction which creates the STUTUTU. This might not be true at all but what I think I’ve heard before😂

it sounds like the microphone is in the engine, I may be wrong because you can barely hear any exhaust sound. Just rattling and turbo flutter

I agree 100%, the catback was actually stock in this video which is why it’s so quiet. Next time I want to try a 2 mic setup, one out back and one in the engine bay!

On a track of course. Unfortunately we’re in Oregon and this road is 35mph. Really easy to get to 70+ in this car and not going to risk a YT video for an expensive ticket and increased insurance

The whole sound of the video is fake. A 300hp turbo car wold not sound like that. The sound is right into your ears and by that a can tell is fake, if you dont belive me chek other videos of the same car with 300hp and you Will see the difference. When he started the car it sounded stock and then all of a suden it does crazy turbo noises🤦. And if you have noticed, whe cant hear them talk bicause puting that in a sound wold be pretty hard.
