It's amazing isn't it (and I have mad respect for fast bikes too). My 455bhp/634nm M140i does 0-60 in 4.3 so this must be capable of sub 3 seconds, and the skill and sheer terror of trying to hang onto the bloody thing while doing that is just amazing fun.

Could be a combination of things as well like bad treatment by previous owners. But BMW are known to have engine issues nearly every generation has some sort of quite serious problem.
