Mines tuned on Hondata and honestly I think it’s just the right amount of power for backroad driving. Watching this vid, this car had wheel hop as soon as he gets the rotrex unit spinning. For highway pulls, it seems like a blast to floor it and have that kind of speed and torque for sure. Though for backroad driving, I think an N/A build might be a better driving experience. I can redline my car through corners without much wheel hop or spin at all and I can carry the same speed this boosted Si would carry through corners all while getting that sweet induction noise from the K24. Not saying it’s a bad build, just for backroad driving, it might not be ideal based on this specific video. For highway pulls or straight line speed it’s for sure the better car in every way.

hey i have a 8th gen kw kit and with the 110mm pulley i am pushin 16-17 psi. i have verified that it has the stock k20z3 crank pulley. any idea why im pushing so much?

really cool swap, the linear delivery of the blower plus the revvy tendency of the k are an great combination (sounds wonderful as well); respectfully though, i am no pro, but your steering technique looks like it could use some improvement - seemed to be a lot of excessive changes in positioning; for example, lots of left hand leaving 9 and right hand leaving 3 when, from what i have seen/heard from instructors and pros, they should have stayed there. just some (hopefully) constructive criticism from one enthusiast to another.

I’ve been in a type r and an si, but never drove them. How’s the handling on something like this compared to the type r? This also seems like a lot of effort to have acceleration on par with stock v8s. I’m sure it’s an absolute riot to drive though.

Honestly not that much effort its supercharger thrown on a 13-18k car depending. Scat Chargers run 40-50k for whatever reason. If he was to upgrade the car in the slightest for handling and traction it would be fine. It’s running stock tires and wheels of course it’s going to be some more effort to steer. At the end of the day you’re comparing a 2.4L NA engine from factory to a V8’s acceleration, he keeps ahead of the scat until top end on most rolls.

@@Fivepointsloww I mean yes you need supporting mods like better injectors etc. He has the vid “Its time to part ways” where he basically goes over a full build breakdown for the 8th gen he gave away. That’ll prob give you a good idea on the effort needed to compete with V8’s. It’s more of the feeling you get from building the car and running with V8’s. But overall yes it is a lot more effort than just buying a V8 and slappin headers on it with a tune imo if your not mechanically savvy
