@@alexanderblankenship6570 n55 is going to be more expensive than n54 for awhile its still a relatively recent motor meanwhile n54 stopped being made 10 years ago so parts are now cheaper. My maintenance cost is the same cost if not less than n55s

They do not and i have no burble settings on at all i just drive really aggresive😂 also i have muffler delete and catless downpipes secondarys still there

Was your oil temp going above 250F? If so, is that normal?

It was not. But if your oil temp is in 250 temp range youre also in blown motor temp range it should never be that high

@@BmwAlex0621 I have a 2011 n55, the oil temp seems to be right around 240. Sometimes gets close to 250F. The has been running fine. Do you think there maybe an underlying issue? Thanks for the response!

@@enayetkhan9397 of course! And yes that seems to be normal operating temperature for n55s they run alot hotter than n54s for some reason. If you dont have an oem oil cooler look into getting one. They can drop temps by about 30 degrees

Aluminium engines run at hot temps for pollution.

Upto 250 F or about 120 C is normal for an N54, have one myself. MHD sport cooling option keeps it around 110C/230F by opening thermostat earlier. Assuming the car has an oil cooler.
