all the sitting time is what we never see.... so you wanna be a rock band or a person that makes the rock band what they are.... Man, that place has still got that old garage roof on it, lol (right over the stage). Wow. Back in the late eighties and early nineties I used to go to concerts out there and it was just a big dirt lot with that tin garage roof covering the stage in the middle of nowhere. "Compton Terrace" they called it. It didn't have that huge roof extension you see now. Back when AZ was still great. It is close to what used to be firebird raceway, when there were no events it was desolate. Funny, when you drove down the I-10 Frwy passing it, it looked like a shit hole but when it was dark and the concert lit up you would never know. I got stories! [edit] Ah shit, I just looked that place up and it isn't the old compton terrace. This place is on the west side. saw Van Halen over there with my buddie Eric Solis who is Sammy Hagar's nephew. Obviously up front.

Greetings from New Zealand Matt! I stumbled across your channel a month or so ago and really enjoy the POVs. I was initially interested in seeing what goes on back stage and see from show to show its pretty much the same from venue to venue. Despite that I still enjoy all the videos. I got hooked on listening to the soundcheck song you play and went looking for it from the other side of the riser. Lordy now I have another band I enjoy! Had never heard of them before! I grew up on hard rock but my taste is widening all the time. Not too bad for a 62 year old. Keep the uploads coming mate. Take care. 😊

I live in Surprise and have been to many a show at Cricket. Rush a few times. Buffett a few times. Fogerty. Mellencamp. Rob Zombie. Godsmack. Alice Cooper. Alanis. and on and on. LOL Amazing how little room there is behind the stage. Hilarious that they run you all through a metal detector and wands, but yet the security guy isn't interested in checking your suitacse. As with most things like that, all we want is the illusion of security.

It was crazy watching you walk around the venue. I live in Buffalo NY and there is a venue in the area called Darien Lake and the stage setup is very similar. An open air venue with rows of seats and then an open lawn area in the back. Like this venue, Warped Tour came to Darien Lake. They also would some times split the stage into two.
