Oh my gosh. More POV’s please! As someone who once spent a lot of time in the water chasing heavy waves, I miss the whole experience of getting in and getting out. The paddling, everything. It’s the whole package that makes the experience so profound imo. The entry, the waves, and the exiting the water. The landscape here is next level. You left me in suspense wondering how the heck you got in!

I guess he takes a break for Ben to catch up, but the way Nathan barely finishes paddling out at 9:05 to turn around and immediately catch the very next wave is insane. Also just the calm confidence he exudes the entire time, starting from the zero-hesitation paddle out into a super scary area he's never surfed before is incredible. What a fearless charger.
@leeroyjeankins77812 жыл бұрын
When you surf big/heavy waves you have to commit to the paddle in/drop. If you hesitate you end up getting worked.

It's crazy for me how, in some parts of the world, the sea is connected with stones and not sand like here in BR. Like, I can't even imagine how dangerous it can be if you're not a good surfer.. Nice video friend, keep on your good job!!
@hurleycapetown84202 жыл бұрын
I am in Brazil now but im from Cape Town,South Africa and the surf is like this in many places(rocky,freezing,a lot of kelp,oh and big sharks),we have many spots the waves suck up and you can see the rocks on takeoff,we even have a spot you stand on a huge rock about 30cm under water in the middle of the ocean because thats where the wave breaks,it goes from 1 foot to about 6 foot in a second and just grows(its crazy and pretty dangeous if u dont know how it works,many broken bones and boards),surfing in Rio is paradise compared to Cape Town though we have some amazing waves and many hidden spots,the only thing i would say i dont like where i have surfed in Rio is the SUPER strong rip current that takes you hundreds of metres from where you start.
@hurleycapetown84202 жыл бұрын
P.S i would rather surf on rocks that super shallow reef like they have in some parts of the world,including pipeline,while it looks more beautiful and inviting i think shallow reef is must more dangerous that rocks,its just usually rocky surf comes in cold,murky,kelpy water so the environment just looks scary.

Hey Nat FYI ex: if u save some one lungs full of salt water dead . there feet should be pointing towards your home not the ocean, that will set up the out flow of the water on our exit value of the lungs. remember this any other way and they die. if head is closes to home feet towards ocean the water in their lungs is 88% less likely to come out. got it. cool peace out

How do you overcome fear of big waves?
@mortyrosenstein42112 жыл бұрын
Like anything else. You don’t start big. Over the course of years as you progress in the water you become more and more comfortable. It takes years.

I dont think you do actually. But you push through against every thing you know is wrong because at the point when you think you're going to eat it, you get the ride of your life...

You dont, you just get more comfortable being afraid, you can force the difference of a fight or flight response, cant control being afraid but can control your response to it.
