POV: What It's Like to Drive a Mustang GT

I appreciate you talking about all this especially the Ecoboost part. Most people don’t. I was never gonna hop right into a GT but for a while I was skeptical about an Ecoboost because i didn’t think I’d want to get one first but I just might. I don’t plan on doing anything to it. I think getting a 15-17 ecoboost would be best for me and tbh I was always gonna go third gen coyote with a GT. That’ll be a few years but I plan on leaving that stock for a WHILE. Only thing I’d do would be a gt350 track pack spoiler, repainting logos, the mirrors if they’re not what I’d want already, the side skirts too, I’d like to find some nice rims as well (kinda like boss 302 rims bc they have that white outer lip and something like that would look cool with what I wanna do) Very informative. What cars should I look into before getting an ecoboost? Again, something I’d leave stock as well

I’ve driven a 2016 Mustang GT, it was a base cloth interior one, I remember it was fast, loud, but the front visibility was kind of bad up front and the hood was just too long for me. Not hating on it, it is a fun car but just wasn’t for me.

@@quantum6877well yea, price wise obv it’s cheaper but c7 from what I’ve heard is better in every way performance, and looks. They both obv have their cons but personally I’ll get a C7

I’ve owned a lot of Mustangs over the years and the only one worth buying is the GT350. Regular Mustang GTs have no torque, don’t sound good unless you modify them, are heavy, handle like crap, have no steering feel, and are unreliable with typical Ford quality issues. The 16+ Camaro SS is a FAR superior car in every single way

The 2024 mustangs are actually good. Have you test driven one? I’m not a Mustang fan but they handles good now.

@ no they don’t buddy. Go drive a GT350 and you’ll see how bad the normal Mustang is. The steering is awful too. One of the worst parts of the car.

@@19hundoc47 The modern Camaro (2008-2023) has always been a great driver's car because some of the engineers who worked on that car's Alpha platform were from Holden, GM's now-defunct Australian car brand. Back then, their HSV performance sedans gave the BMW M5 a good run for its money, because it performed just as well as the German saloon - if not better - and it cost a lot less to buy (this story should sound familiar to any CT5-V Blackwing owners and fans). The Australians know a thing or two about making an engaging driver's car. If I were to summarize the American muscle trio, it'd be like this: - Camaro = the driver's car - Challenger = the pure muscle car - Mustang = the all rounder/jack of all trades (though I think you might disagree) I suppose you could make the argument that both the Camaro and Challenger are each better than the Mustang in their own ways. The Camaro is better to drive, and the Challenger offers that raw, unadulterated muscle. Unfortunately, neither of those things were enough to save them from extinction, and they're not the only examples of superior models being unfairly discontinued. - The Honda S2000 was more engaging than the MX-5, but which one is still being made today? - The Dodge Viper (especially the ACR) was a more raw experience than the Corvette, but again, which one is still in production? - Many agreed the Mitsubishi Evo was better to drive than the Subaru WRX STI, but which one lasted longer?

Sounds like poop TBH.. my S650 with an H-pipe and OEM aftermarket active valves sounds amazing.. 👍 But yea they are boats if you don’t have the performance pack

The mustang engine doesn't sound too good. It also doesn't throw you into your seat the way the hemi engines do.
