I have had my DH Premium since April and LOVE the screens. I've owned a 96 GT and an 03 Cobra Terminator. I really enjoy being able to change the gauge clusters and they recently updated it with the 99-01 SVT Cobra cluster [which also happens to be the 03-04 cluster] and love it. The second screen provides PLENTY of visual landscape to finally make everything usable instead of a calculator screen.

Great mileage. A few more MPG than my 6.2 2SS Camaro. But DO NOT waste your money on the exhaust. You'll put it in track mode and never change it. If you don't want to be loud keep your foot off the floor. Bought it on my Camaro and it hasn't been out of track mode since it drove off the lot.

Twice in the video you recommend skipping the "big brakes" yet at 12:13, in a non-controlled test admittedly, it looks like the Dark Horse stopped a good 25-40 feet shorter than your base GT w/o the performance brakes. That is not insignificant, and even at more normal speeds a few feet or inches could make the difference in avoiding a collision. The performance brakes are a separate option and seem like a valid choice by way of safety to consider. (Acknowledging that quicker braking may increase the risk of the guy behind you not reacting fast enough...can't have everything.) 😀
@ahtoomians
@ahtoomians 2 ай бұрын
That would be more due to tires. The big brakes would let you keep braking hard without fading as bad but that little brake test they did was mostly due to summer tires on the other car.

@@ahtoomians Thanks again. As someone potentially specing out a GT build this year, this is one of the "bubble" options where the $2k just didn't seem worth it unless you had that specific purpose in mind, both for current sticker and future maintenance costs. And if one really wanted larger brakes later for performance or style, there is always aftermarket.

Hey TFL, I wish you kept this Mustang for at least a year or 12,000 miles, just to see if any other issues come up, especially being a new design. I know a lot of the chassis is carry over, but still like to see how it does over a longer period of time. Sorry to see it go, I am Happy Ford still has a great V8 Mustang. It will be a sad day when the Mustang becomes electric or a four cylinder hybrid. Also, Great job to Ford for offering a powerful V8 that can get 30 miles per gallon on a trip, that ten speed really seems to finally be tuned in with the engine well.

I was thinking the same thing, that a "long term test" is probably 10-12k miles and/or 12-18 months of use. Ashame. I am sure there is a cost/benefit calc involved for the KZbin auto channels i.e. the review value of keeping the car around longer versus flipping the asset before it depreciates too much.

You are absolutely right that is is all about the coyote V8 sound! I want a mustang gt even though it isn't really any faster than my 2023 Elantra N with a good tune. You just can't beat the coyote V8 sound! I'll live with the heavier car knowing it sounds so good and with forced induction it is miles above my turbo inline 4. You are wrong about the performance pack, though. You need that if you are actually going to push the car. I will never forgive them for that. Who the heck are talking too that thinks a Mustang is the size of a GR86??? Mustangs and Camaros are everywhere, so people know what size they are. Mustangs have never been that small, except for maybe the Mustang II. You're audience here are car people, and know they're cars. So if you're talking about non car people, they wouldn't know what a GR86 is anyway.

The biggest issue with this car is that it didn't really improve on the performance numbers or handling from the 550. The digital dash is fun but is that really worth the upgrade if you have a S550? I like it but still prefer my gen 6 camaro with tremec/ head up display but to each their own. Thankful Ford didn't kill the Mustang like Chevy did ;(

At 12:25 you were talking about price. The first new vehicle I bought was a '74 Ford Courier in '75. It cost $3,300. For a two year loan at $104 a month. Times were better back then. 🤑🤔 Now 🤔🤢🤮😭

Its so sad seeing all these people in the comments saying the auto is better because its faster. The death of the drivers car must be studied. Nobody lives on track or street races their car everyday, so being the fastest does not matter. Only if you care about being able to say your 0-60 time is this. Its about the driving experience, the base gt auto feels so soulless. Its about the driving experience, how connected you are to the vehicle.

Maybe next gen we’ll get a mark 9 w/ a turbo 6 and awd. No plans for this chassis.

@@allanbieger7523 i don't drive an RCF. I would chose one over a mustang or camero though. I like those cars, they just don't hold up as well.

If you’re saying fun is more important than the extra performance parts, that sounds like the perfect argument for the manual transmission. The money you save on skipping the automatic would pay for the, just for fun, switchable exhaust.

Having a manual isn’t about being faster. It’s about being connected to the car. You can’t get that connection from flappy paddles.

Exactly. Premium in a Mustang isn't Premium to the rest of the world, it just means slightly less cheapo and better audio to drown out the rattles that pop up after 3 months.
