I went to New York at Christmas one year, and whenever we visited a place that was in the books, I would tell them everything that happened from the books in that place, and my family probably wanted to burn my books with how long I would ramble, describing the scenes! 😂

I grew up in Türkiye, reading the PJO books. When I went to Mount Olympia (a.k.a. Lycian Olympus, since it became the home of gods& goddesses and later monsters, before the greek mythology), Yanartaş (the burning stone) and Olympus Ancient City, I had goosebumps!! It is a great excitement to see that the places you read about in your favorite book are real. Moreover, the more I read, the more ı got fascinated the fact that they were already mystical/ used as ritual places by Ancient Anatolian Civilizations. Rick Riordan probably didn't write this series thinking what a little turkish child feels when reading them but it was like even though I was not a half blood, I was definitely seeing the footprints or the ghosts of the past. And it still gives me goosebumps :)) Children who can relate the fantastic book they love with the place they live in are very lucky!

The first Magnus chase book has some scenes with Percy and Annabeth, and I believe Annabeth reoccurs during the series since Annabeth Chase and Magnus Chase are cousins. :) Also Carter and Sadie Kane are seriously awesome characters! You should totally try to read them after you've finished HoO and ToA!
