Like how did you meet the friends that invited you to go the white sand beach 😍🥰 I feel like I’m super social but SD seems like an intimidating place to meet ppl. And/ what areas were you in haha? Maybe that has something to do with it? Alsooo, sand casting is so hard so props to you and goo luck on that journey! It’s the only kind of silver rings I want to buy right now so cheers to you for taking on that skill, it’ll serve you so well 🥰🥰

Thank you so much for this encouraging comment. I really appreciate you watching my video! The biggest thing that helped me meet up with people initially was social media. After I met a few people It was just a domino affect after that. I recommend Tourmaline Surf Beach, there’s a lot of cool people there that you can just walk up to and talk to! Also going to markets, I linked two in my description and both of them have amazing people! The OB market in the evenings is also a great place to go to see/meet people! I think San Diego is a great place to meet people, everyone’s really friendly!! I can’t wait to go back :) There’s a lot of Van lifers in San Diego and if you just go up to different people and talk to them, especially if they have their doors open parked by a beach typically people are pretty friendly and you can just ask them questions about how they got on the road, I talked to a lot of random people and had great experiences! Thank you for the encouragement about sand casting, it’s definitely been a hustle so I appreciate you mentioning that !! ❤️

your filming is beautiful! this was so cool to see ❤i stayed in san diego last winter in my box truck and i recognize some of the rigs 🥹 it was my first time living on the west coast and i was so shy and lonely i wish i could have connected with more people..but it was such a nice place to stay and the first time i had seen a large group of van lifers which made me feel connected to a community even if i wasn’t fully a part of it all

People call them California's Homeless and blame the state for the campers all over the place. I seems to me that they are from all over the country and really like the beauty and weather there. They are America's homeless. I wonder if there is a large van life population in Des Moines Iowa like in San Diego that has to deal with this issue of vans, ambulances and old school buses all over the place?

Good question! I just wanted to try something new and test myself, I actually found that I was able to find a great community of like minded (travel) people that I felt I was lacking in my home town.
