Sounds nice until you have to pay the vet to remove the ribbon it swallowed, lol. But if I were an Olympic winner I'd take a photo of the horse wearing it later, if it would let me, not all horses would want something going over their head like that.

Of course you want to be as gentle as possible with the reins and mouth or face area (including face area as bitless bridles exist). When horses try and pull you (which they can when excited) you do want to hold them back but you don’t want to be too rough, of course.
