@catedubill40674 жыл бұрын
Yes omg so true! My response to people who say that: :) not trying to hate but I’m guessing you aren’t a rider so I will explain. Yes horses do work a lot. If they didn’t want to do it, however, they wouldn’t (they would make it very clear 😊). And yes, not all do. They do not jump over and over, they practice and the horses get better as well as the riders. Although it is easy to look like that, they don’t jump just over and over - they have different courses/ heights and often just do flat work. They get a lot of rest and are not worked too hard, if they were they wouldn’t be able to do these hard competitions. They do get to run in pastures and have quiet time. As a rider it is easy to see, but when I was a beginner I shared the same concerns but a couple months showing and deeply invested will make you realize that most horses really do enjoy it. :) Also I’m not saying all horses in the industry are taken care of properly but most are, because to have the money and means to compete at this levels means that likely they are taken very good care of.

That Awkward Equestrian I groused about that on another post and was told it might take up to a couple of years before NBC or the BBC will post films of the competitions. It seems another media had filming rights. So they might have to wait before rights to full films are released to them for publication. In London, I guess the BBC had those rights, so released their rights and their films earlier. That's my theory anyway. Not to mention that the media has to milk as much revenue from advertisements for snippets of the competitions.

@elliteequine37855 жыл бұрын
@@brookeglover674 I'm sick of seeing you everywhere. You probably can barely jump 60cm without falling or looking pretty.
@bayleedeaton4003 жыл бұрын
5:02 ok im not a professional like all these people are but on the landings he pulled up and that made the horses head go up so the horse couldnt see where he was landing.... thats just my opinion

White Knight extra time? lol riding takes up your whole life 😂😂
@unrulycrow62997 жыл бұрын
Lol equestrianism isn't an extra-time activity, pal (Also, competitions are pricey, but horseriding in itself isn't necessarily expensive. It depends on where you live and what are your circumstances)
@georgiahorselover23277 жыл бұрын
Horse riding is extremely expensive, actually, one of the most expensive sports around I would say.
@Naomi-iy1ig7 жыл бұрын
Unless you lease. Still costs money but compared to board, medical, feed, tack, etc. Its WAY cheaper. Not cheap, cheapER.

God I would think at the Olympics they could have a still leg I get it if it moves a littler but to fling behind the saddle come on now

Carly Walls - I don't blame them! The entire world had their eyes on them! You try something like that!
@lilyhudgins20977 жыл бұрын
it's jumpers.. not eq. if the horse is fine who cares lol. it's hard to keep a good lower leg zipping around a course at that height.

Jchorselove Bosty always ride like that...He is the only man who ride like this, just with he's knees. OK it's not what you learned but it's his style....(sorry if there mistakes in my English...)
@jaybenz10067 жыл бұрын
It's how a lot of taller riders keep their legs from hitting the fences. It takes a lot of skill to do that without unseating yourself even if it doesn't look great. My lord do research before you bash an OLYMPIC rider.

Well showjumping is about staying on and making it without any faults
@ImineResveratrol7 жыл бұрын
Jazzy_SSOSimer 3 It’s about not making any faults, time, and staying on. Putting your legs back isn’t a fault.

@pureequestrian57007 жыл бұрын
lol What would they do with a medal? All they want is lots of treats, praise, and love. They wouldn't care about a medal- it would probably just get all dirty and trampled
@brenleyequestrian93487 жыл бұрын
*medal And horses should get ribbons, but they won’t even recognize a medal and they wouldn’t care. They don’t even care if they get anything, besides food, and love.
