I have so many fond memories playing this game since it was released, such a shame it’s not receiving anymore support. It was a goldmine waiting to found but it was closed off :(

I know I shouldn't miss this version of the game, because it was genuinely in a bad state. But I do miss it. I really do. I remember catching a train to LA so I could stand in line for hours outside the EA Play event, all for a chance to get my hands on this game's demo. I remember seeing the first images of the clones and droids - the factions everyone had been waiting for since 2015. I remember following every update since the beginning, and watching the game's content selection grow along with the community. The game itself wasn't and still isn't perfect. Lot of issues with matchmaking, hackers, map design, and balance. But damn if this whole ride hasn't been an experience.

Playing through those times was quite troublesome… Loot crates, unbalanced heroes, broken weapons, overpowered cards, long radio silence with barely any information given to players, and seasons that didn’t add anything significant which then resulted in the idea being scrapped altogether. Oh and Jetpack cargo… almost forgot about that one. Dark times indeed, and I’m thankful that over the course of 2 years battlefront 2 was able to make its redemption… it’s just unfortunate their are still bugs and glitches that plague it to this day.

I remember playing it shortly after it came out. Really enjoyed it. And then I saw people on the internet literally freaking out over micro-transanctions. Saw all the bad reviews too. But the game was still great. Never understood what all the fuzz was about. Only annoying thing was not having some characters unlocked immediately, but DICE quickly changed that. I still to this day do not understand why people bitched so hard about this game. I think it's one of the best, if not, THE BEST Star Wars game to date.

Unlocking heroes was SOOOO much cooler. Gave you something to grind towards and made you get proficient with characters or classes you otherwise wouldnt have used. Wish I played before they got rid of it (Although I did get the game like a week after launch, so maybe I was there) Edit: I was informed it took near 100 hours per character. Completely ignore me, that's my bad. However I would like them to include unlocking characters in Battlefront III. Just don't make the characters so damn expensive
