Powder Coating M120 V12 Valve Covers

What about back side, did you powder coat them too? Originally they come powder coated inside( back side too) not sure which is best do back too or no, what do you think? Only reason i see why mercedes powder coat back side is to prevent corrosion of since they made of magnesium. Cause magnesium is notorious for corrosion. after years of engine running and sitting powder coat on back side start peeling of on my valve covers and to prevent them falling down to camshaft and lifters I decided to remove the rest of powder coat from back side. Decided to leave it bare metal inside. What do you think should i powder coat back side or leave it bare metal? Thanks

I didn’t powder coat the back side. I didn’t want it to heat up and possible drop into the valve train. Guess we will see what happens down the road! 👍🏻
