Watching folks tweaking and adjusting on their cars is interesting. Watching you get all hands and feet into the mechanical guts is FUUUUUUNNNNNN! I wonder if the engine and instrument cluster replacements are related.

Maybe just drill the ends of the crack and weld over the entire crack, instead of spending money on a new manifold ? A new manifold has a good chance of cracking in the same place anyhow.
@jimmycruiserr2 жыл бұрын
Not a bad idea, it would be nice if it was fixable because I know eventually I'll change the manifold completely. I guess it depends on if I find one for cheap

Absolutely love your channel, I always enjoy seeing what your plans are, and seeing them come to life. Starting the upgrade journey with my 03’ limited edition. Gonna do a whole new stereo and speaker system first and then gonna start on some body mods, and possible total engine rebuild. She’s almost at 190,000 miles so It’s safe to say she’s due lol. She still runs good, but not as good as she did when I first got her, and at least the person bothered to swap the odometer lmao, the previous owner of mine literally just used a black sharpie on the cluster to make it look like it had less miles than it really did. I found out when it went from 105,000 to 180,00 they were able to make the 7 look like a 0 and I didn’t notice for about 2 years lmao I was pretty pissed to find out she had about 75,00 more miles on her than I thought but it was too late by then. Anyways, love your content. It always inspires me and makes me want to go out and start doing things to my car lol.

Damn bro what a story that is with your odometer 😂 some people are just crazy! I really appreciate it though, making these videos is my lifeline! Love meeting all you guys who love your old PT's as well. A new sound system would be awesome, that was one of the first things I worked on too since I'm a bit of an audio nerd lol. Good luck with your upgrade journey man!

They are factory marks, most if not all turbo motors will have them, I'm Over in nova scotia Canada and have atleast 2 motors stored right now that have them identical marks

Very interesting 🤔 I'm hearing mixed opinions now that the video dropped! Either way, everything is in surprisingly good shape lol

Looks great now that your in to it that far you should ponder coat the oil pan and valve cover . Definitely interested in the pt cruiser parking and the Keychain. Keep up the good work
@jimmycruiserr2 жыл бұрын
Funny you should suggest that, cuz that will be done in the next video 👀 appreciate it!!

That whole assembly under/over the oil pick up is the balancing shaft assembly.

I don't understand why Chrysler made it so easy for people to commit odometer fraud. Same with the Second gen rams. All you gotta do is swap clusters

If you could call up 17 yr old Jimmy and tell him the PT gt's motor was not original, would he still buy it??

Hey I have a question I have a 05 pt cruiser with the turbo and when I get on it the car will shift around 5k rpm and won’t really go into the 6 or 7k rpm unless I’m loosing traction on like snow any ideas ? Feels low on power I’ve done spark plugs and all the sensors

Hope all is well. I understand you are busy, but I would deeply appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction. Even better, if you yourself can hook me up and sell me some parts.

Hey man good evening. I just bought a 2006 PT limited edition, it is an automatic but thankfully it has the 2.4 Turbo motor. I bought it from the original owner who is 87 years old. She only put 26K original miles on it. I am having trouble finding a used Cat-Delete downpipe, cold air intake, and a stage 1 or stage 2 kit to buy. I remember a guy from Oregon hooked you up with a intake manifold. Do you know anyone who has those parts for sale?
@91ninjazx752 жыл бұрын
Are you seriously that busy that you can't answer questions man. I hope I'm wrong, and you will respond to my previous messages. Again, I understand you're busy, but it's been over a month since I posted my questions.
