Powder Milk Biscuits ad from A Prairie Home Companion 30th anniversary

Aired in 2004 as a celebration of A Prairie Home Companion's 30th year on air.
This part of the show is pretty much my view of american culture, and most definitely my view of skilled musicians.
to Garrison Keillor (because it's of course you that reads this and takes down copyrighted videos)
this may be illegal to some degree, but there doesn't seem to be too many good videos on youtube or the internet in general that give a good idea of what A Prairie Home Companion really is, so i think leaving it up is a fine idea.
not that I've seen any videos taken down by the public radio...

I am a 19 year old Asian man from California. I moved to McFarland, Wisconsin in 2012 and heard this on the radio on one Saturday evening. I loved his monologue, loved the voice acting, and loved the music. I instantly became a fan. I am also a guitarist, and have played for 6 years. I'm wondering if I can get a job doing this kind of work.

Have you thought of putting out ads from a guitarist seeking other musicians to jam with? Go to a music store and post ads, talk to people there. Some impromptu jams could lead to a band being put together, could lead to a lot of other possibilities.

It almost certainly wasn't, as the band was playing upbeat, happy songs to try to keep the passengers from panicking. The story of them playing "Nearer My God To Thee" comes from various films.

Terrific! Talking about high school memories is what I do with classmates from the class of 61. Garrison Keillor remains an inspiration to me, as I am the same exact age as GK. Am just leaving to share memories from the 50s and 60's with some of the residents of the Eventide care center in Moorhead. And to get to that venue, I pass the namesake of A Prairie Home Companion, the "Prairie Home Cemetery on 8th street in Moorhead. I'll share that with the group.

I just read PHC ended, and I NEVER got it. I just sat through this, and, personally find this ...bad, in every respect; just 'cute' in a way which hurts. The lyrics - poor juvenile,grade-school rhymes? Repeated over-and-over? And people listened to this? Over-and-over? This is a case where people are afraid of being branded mean' for disliking this 'quaint' (childishly written), and utterly painful nonsense.
