Dream and techno’s characters have a really interesting dynamic. They’re allies, and friends, no question about it. *However* they both are only friends because, and open about the fact they’re friends because, they want to keep their enemy close. While they do like eachother, neither is going to bend their ideals for the other, and both know this, and they both know that when the time comes that their partnership ends, the other will come for their life without hesitation.

I love the relationship between Techno and Dream, because Techno knows Dream wants to be the ultimate ruler and Dream knows Techno will be the first one keeping him far from that power, but in the meantime there are other rivals/tyrants to get rid of, and they won't get too far fighting them AND each other at the same time. They're not friends, they're not even allies, they just have a common goal to reach before they get to fight their strongest enemy.
