So this is my number 1 video and my number 2 video together in 1 video. PA RZR1 2500D and the Skar VXF-12. I'm going to put this in the larger enlosure and try this same test again and hopefully get better results. Thank you. I'm switching the sub today into another box, ported one. Going to do a test with the same amp because I think we'll get better results with the ported box, then switch amp's in the same video and do the test on a real 3,000 watt amp.

Yeah, either 1 sub at 2 ohm's or 2 sub's at 1 ohm, it would run either nice on the Gothic.

I like the vxf. I had 1 12 on a sundown salt 3k and it took it no problem daily and sounded very good in a custom enclosure. I may go back to the vxf line. Really can't beat the value when they are on sale.

I'm going to put this in a ported enclosure and redo the same test, I think I'm going to get much different results. It did well over 1,000 watt's with a 3,000 watt amp, did you see the video before? I think it'll do more with a ported box, I'm going to do a double feature with 2 amp's in one video on the same sub in the same enclosure.

@Subs & Paws I didn't see the other video but I will check it out. I had my vxf 12 in a 2 cube net box double baffle tuned to 30 hz. It really was impressive. Never got hot enough to smell the coil.

@@doubleya215 yeah, it's apretty solid sub. I had it in my van in yet another video on an HD3000 and it made some sound let me tell you. That's another video on my channel. The newer video though on the dyno show's it on real power and I expect to get more when I change the box today.

Razor 2500 d is a decent little amplifier good build quality and less than a hudred dollars and puts out 711 watts at a 2 ohm load dynamic.

@@hadaresawadogo3456 I think they come with a 25. I believe you can safely go to 35 or 40. Just pay attention to the amp and if it gets hot or not. Starts getting hot try a 35 amp instead. It's all in the ohm your actually running. Sub's don't run a static load like those Dyno tests on KZbin. Real subwoofers run constantly changing load's. You're sub wired to 1 ohm might actually run at 3-4 ohm's. Which means you don't want to use a 1 ohm amp if you wired to 1 ohm. Probably at least a 2 ohm amp.

why are the ohms so high? is it wired to 8ohm? wire it down to get power out of the amp.

No. It's wired to 2 ohm's. I've been doing this for over 30 years. Someone else did a similar Dyno video on this sub I've seen and they got similar results. It's all in the sub. The box makes a little difference but not much. I tested it in several boxes and kept getting similar results. I'd say the only way to possibly maybe be able to go around this is to get a D2 version wire it to 1 ohm and pray they made that one different. I've had a handful of subs have their impedance rise high like this out of the few hundred I've tested. Thanks for your comment 😊

Not enough current. The wire you have. You're trying to power too much with the sub's you have. Something is getting hot, so hot it's blowing fuses. It might be the sub's you have are too much for it. Try just 1 sub and go from there.

What ohm load are you running when it blows the fuse.If you're running it one ohm try running at two,even though the manual says two I've run one at 1 ohm with no problem.

I have one vxf 12 d4 wired to 2 ohm on a 3500.1d so im at 2400 watts rms the amp burps up to 5000 watts and the woofer handles it’s business all day

I had the same sub in this video wired to 2 ohm's. It never gets anywhere near 2 ohm's. It ran around 5 ohm's and literally as high as 64 ohm's I believe in a few videos. I saw some other KZbinrs testing them wondering if it was me or the sub, it's the sub. Not sure why. I tried different amps, different boxes nothing changes, it runs very high on impedance. Which amp do you have? Name and model of the amp? I can give you an idea of your actual power usage. Thanks for your comment 😊

@@SubzPawz use the skar rp 3500.1d make sure the vxf is a d4 wire it to a final impedance of 2 ohms if you buy a d2 and wire to 1ohm you will lower the life of the sub but it will handle it

imma just go ahead a guess before u do the test lol they added a extra 0 on accident 250 watts lol ok edit time im close ya the newer power acoustic are week to me defiantly need 1 amp per sub on a lower watt sub back 20 years ago power acoustic had a big silver 3000d amp that wasnt that bad me and my friend got 2nd place in a bass comp with a team rockford quad coil 15 sub we put 4 power acoustic 3000d amps on 1 sub 1 amp per voice coil in a geo metro

Nice. Back when I started all this my first system I had was 3 12 inch JL Audio W6's, from the 90's. I had them in a custom enclosure built for my Mercury Cougar, they were powered by a Phoenix Gold ZX 1,200 and I had a Clarion EQ to put everything into place. This amp does do much more power, it's actually one of the best amp's they make today besides buying a much higher powered amp. I've got it to do about 1,200 watt's at around 1 ohm with box rise it stayed around 1 ohm. Thanks for sharing and for your comment. Check out some of my live dyno video's, this is why I do this.

@@SubzPawz iv never got to mess with any of the T series rockford subs yet just crazy price i still have a pair of 12in power dvc's with 4inch voice coils and the regular dvc's the ones before the hx2's i do have some new stuff to mess with when it gets worm out i have 4 wolfram 12s 300 ounce motors and a 12k taramp i have there like team rockford 15s rebuilt with sundown sv1 parts think there 400 ounce motors i have a cab22 amp i like my wolframs i ran 3 of them on the taramp hit a 150db didnt have anything tuned subs were in the truck facing backwords i got 2nd place pretty sure if id turn subs around tuned everything right probly hit 153 to 155 i like my lows tho so just going to have fun doing numbers at low hertz i use to do those hi numbers when i was younger lol

@@bryanmeier272xp8 nice. I feel in love with this almost 30 years ago myself. The RF 4inch coils are nothing nice, they pound, and in a good enclosure they really pound with good power. They don't need 12,000 watt's but just turn it down and they will get down. I have the T212, T112 silver, T010, sold a T115 silver. They're great sub's to play with and listen to.

Yes, the subwoofer has to do 1 ohm all day also. Did you see the dyno? It was jumping up in to 10 ohm's, sometimes as low as 5, never made it anywhere near 1 ohm. This is the whole reason I do these live video's. People have a misconception of sub's and amp's. This happens all the time with many sub's and amp's.

@@SubzPawz .... And for that very reason we have no idea what the sub is wired at. I've been building boxes since the 90s , so you're preaching to the choir. It's called box raise, and it varies by enclosure. This amp is only rated at 2 ohms from the factory. Many people are afraid to go to 1 on this amp. But because our lucky friend box rise, it's never an issue.

my voltage never goes below 14.4. I don't know where you saw that but it's the wrong thing, not voltage. Especially in my house, it does not drop, ever. I use a Stetsom Infinite power supply, I'll show it in one of my next videos.
