Appreciate that. You would be surprised how many times we have replaced $100,000+ tools with a little Power Apps app. 🤩 And the solution we built was actually better because it didn't have 100s of features to confuse people that they didn't use. 🥰

Hi Shane. As a teacher this a good way to do textbook counts. A nice feature would be if the ISBN number (which is often a barcode) could be used to get the books title from the internet based on a search of the web

Weirdly enough, ISBN bar codes don't seem to be supported in my experience. I haven't tried in a couple of years but last time I did they didn't work. Boo. Something like this API would be perfect if we could scan those codes. isbndb.com/apidocs/v2

is there any way to make a wireless handheld barcode scanner play a video? We'd like to have our fireworks products be available for the customer to scan the barcode and a video pop up on the display tv ? Love the channel

Hi Shane, there is really a lot missing from a real inventory where the problems of speed and reading of both the article bar code and or even the serial number or batch with expiry date make it all the more difficult. I appreciate the idea and the inspiration, although it would be nice to add the inventory from a label with different information, combining the possibility of evolving 😊

There is always more you can do for sure. But this is the foundation of an exact app I built for a customer who using it to manager their IT assets. It was 2 apps and did everything from ordering to creating the PO to receiving and distributing to users. 😎 Either way, the mechanics are fun to learn to hopefully inspire someone to build something awesome.

Thanks for another great video! I am looking to make an app to book in parcels these parcels will not always have a barcode so I was wondering if it was possible for power apps to generate a barcode then send it to a label printer. I could then use the barcode on the label to track the item. Thanks Dan

Hey Dan - Yes, but I don't have an easy way for you. This video kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2WppmyXm5ebZ8U talks about printing directly, but I don't have one on generating a Barcode in real time, though I feel lt is possible.

I didn't primarly use AI to build that App. 🙂 That is an app based off multiple customer apps I have built in the past and took me a bit to build and make look nice.
