Power Automate flow HTML Table Formatting in Email | Flows & SharePoint

This video is a step by step tutorial of how to create HTML table in Microsoft Power Automate and email the table data. We will use Power Automate flows to create the HTML table from SharePoint list items using flow "Create HTML Table" action and add it to the email body. We will cover various filter query scenarios to get the tabular data from SharePoint list, send emails with dynamic content and add HTML table styling to the body of e-mail sent by the flow.

This video is very clear and helpful! One thing I will point out is that by adding the styling as in this method, Gmail will remove the CSS and you are back to the point with no styling. To get around that, you need to implement the Advanced Styling method that Ryan shows on his page and put all of the CSS inline within the table tags. Email styling is always a pain.

One more thing. I actually used this video to code a ‘blind’ email. Through Power Automate, I had huge problems with a rogue tag causing columns to move to the right and therefore not match the headers. Your clarity, though on explaining the need to replace > etc solved it. I had to add a replace function for ‘<’ and ‘>/td>’ to deliver a beautiful table. I have since, started to create an app (based on another of your videos) for that element of our work, it has opened up so many more possibilities. The email element with HTML table embedded means that the email to be sent can now at least be vetted prior to sending, which gives far better assurance to all stakeholders (all of them believe Power Automate, PowerApps and coding in general to be magic…..). The visual element, through PowerApps will add real value, especially combined with the new create PDF element. Again, thank you.
