I believe the newer Power bi allows you to connect to live dataset along with existing data sources?

Exactly what i was looking for, however, is there any disadvantage of using dataflow over shareddata? Moreover, if i conect several files to the dataflow or dataset, will it perform the same way or will it get slower?

Security to your datasets is managed in your Power BI Workspace. So any permissions you set there are carried over to the dataset. Hope it helps
