Power Book II: Ghost Season 2 'Episode 10 Review & Recap'

So Power Book 2 Ghost Season 2 just came to an explosive end with 2 major deaths which were Mecca (Dante Spears) and Zeke. The tragic ending was Lorenzo actually thought he was killing Mecca but in fact he shot Zeke by mistake and no doubt this will have some blow back in season 3. But Monet took Mecca out fuelled by more anger after finding out he was a snitch. Her plan worked but she killed him before Tariq got his 2 Million, so now he's in the game with them, but this also bought the return of a familiar face, Blanca Rodriguez. I dissect everything from the season finale in this review & recap!

In the scene where Tariq asked him about Dante Spears, Saxe told him he’s the reason the Eastern District mounted a case against Ghost and Tariq just nodded then Mecca turns up dead. All videos scrubbed but magically Blanca has a pic of Tariq. With Saxe feeling guilty about Carrie and Lauren, he’s going to connect the dots and trace it back to Tariq even though he didn’t do it. It’s crazy because Ghost kept trying to get out of the game but he just kept getting sucked back in and the same is happening to Tariq.

@Wise Man I think I can get why Dante wanted Monae so bad, but I could be wrong. Since Dante was a snitch, I'm pretty sure one of the main reasons he wanted to be with Monae was to possibly have the opportunity to fulfill his informant agenda by starting to surveil her business dealings close range which could allow him to find other dealers out there at the same time, allowing him to further stay out of site especially with him having Cane be the top of his drug organization front. That would've have allowed Dante 'Power' to be able to sit back and further plan his agenda being a snitch. The Tajadas were a big drug organization and I bet Dante knew, which is probably why he even got close to Monae and had a kid with her so he can have all types of tabs on the Tajada's dealings in the streets. There's a reason why I believe they killed him off so fast because we may just see more of how these informants are being deployed especially with how severe drugs are in the streets and also how the deaths have been throughout the shows' seasons and whatnot. If I'm even somewhat right, this would make sense and definitely be some spicy shyt for Power to continue moving on putting everyone through the pressure while the show is defining its name Power through many different twists, plots and angles with every character, gang and "organization" involved etc.

Man I actually didn’t want Mecca to die. Especially Zeke, I think it’s bad writing, mecca was good for the show. He should of been way harder to kill, I think bad writing there. A highly trained killer working for the government should of been untouchable. Zeke gains a good relationship with his dad Mecca, Mecca & Zeke go off to do their own thing, maybe show zeke an in depth view of what he did in the military, zeke realises how much of a baddass his dad is. He gets to go to the most highly secure government facilities etc etc like a tour with his dad. Flying in military choppers overseas. Even goes into enemy territory with Mecca, be shown the world that Mecca is in. Zeke’s love of basketball dwindles because of Carrie’s death however after a break & forming relationship with his dad goes back in to play basketball after a year off. Gets trained by the best trainers organised by Mecca before he starts back at basketball. Mecca & zeke form a very good bond. Monet thankful to mecca that zeke is talking to her again. If it wasn’t for Mecca monet would never see her son again. Monet is an idiot for killing Mecca, zeke’s death is all of her fault for backstabbing Mecca, the one she should of went off with. That’s what would of been good writing. Cain or Lorenzo should of died. Mecca kills lorenzo in the hanger with a AR15 full military style with ease while zeke is in the plane waiting.

But Teriq now has blackmail on Monet with the tapes. He didn't made a copy of the tapes. She will try to cross him because now he will be the prime suspect for Mecca from Blanca and because he questioned Saxe out of the blue about Dante Spears. But Teriq will have proof he didn't. I said from start of this season my death predictions were lorenzo & zeke. Once mecca was revealed as zeke's father i had him as a death prediction also. Once mecca got exposed as an informant I saw his gravestone. I knew lorenzo or mecca because they werent going to have monet with 2 love interest stay alive. I knew zeke once CK said on her live that zeke's mother lina was going to appear in s3. I knew lorenzo was going to kill zeke but i didnt call it by accident though. With Mecca he set them up individually and really could have had them in a power seat but of course at a cost. Either way monet picked wrong cause lorenzo dont look out for family it's his way or the highway. If he dies they all gotta figure it out themselves like they had too when he got locked up.
