“Power Book IV: Force” centers on fan-favorite character Tommy Egan, played by Joseph Sikora, after he cuts ties and puts New York in his rearview mirror for good. As Tommy leaves New York after losing Ghost, LaKeisha and the only city he's ever known, he makes a quick detour to close an old wound that’s been haunting him for decades. What was supposed to be a quick stop turns into a labyrinth of family secrets and lies Tommy thought were long buried. One step leads to another and Tommy quickly finds himself in Chicago's drug game, inserting himself between the city's two biggest crews. In a city divided by race, Tommy straddles the line, ultimately becoming the lynchpin that not only unites them - but holds the POWER to watch them crumble. As the first season unfolds at breakneck speed, Tommy uses his outsider status to his advantage, breaking all the local rules and rewriting them on his quest to become the biggest drug dealer in Chicago.

I stumbled across this show, because I was looking for anything with Lili Simmons. I am a huge Lili Simmons fan and I am one of those who like seeing their favourites in other things. Her resume is quite amazing and I have loved a lot of what she has done. Power Book IV though is barely available on dvd, but it is available, just not easy to get a hold of. I have learned though that a second second of this show is in production and on the way, so it's not over yet, and Lili is in that too. So nice to see that Lili Simmons is getting so much great work. I also know Joseph Sikora, who has been in many other things. However, I got this for Lili Simmons.

raising kanan brings something new and def cinematic at times I feel with how they colour grade and do things which is nice to have let Courtney kemp kinda step back and let some other creatives bring their own take to power to the game... but I gotta say FORCE is the MOST like OG power we will ever get... and honestly with the way it STARTED? it seems like it may even be better... its just so SAD how they wrote off ghosts character... in my opinion if Ghost HAD to die in their eyes it SHOULD'VE been Tommy to pull the trigger. they literally teased it t he entire series and than decided to somehow make his son a badass all of a sudden that everyone hated and are trying to make an entire series off of? lol BOOK 2 is incredibly lucky it has the actor who plays CAIN otherwise that show would've been a instant no for me out the gate.
